  1. 'Saints so much better going forward'published at 15:57 GMT

Compared to last week - which ended up being Will Still's final game in charge here - Southampton look so much better going forward as a team.

Defensively they have still had a fair few scares in the game but there just seems to be so much urgency to get the ball forward when in possession.

They are also moving the ball around much quicker, this has been a thoroughly entertaining first half from both sides.

  2. 'Leicester struggling to create'published at 15:55 GMT

    HT: Norwich 0-0 Leicester

    Owynn Palmer-Atkin
    BBC Radio Leicester commentator

There wasn't too much to note in the first half. Norwich have tried to pump balls into the penalty area and Leicester are still struggling with their lack of chance creation.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:55 GMT

    Middlesbrough 2-1 Birmingham

No Rob Edwards, no problem so far for Middlesbrough.

The home side lead at the break and are up to second as it stands.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:53 GMT

    Norwich 0-0 Leicester

Two teams who desperately need a win all-square at the break.

  5. Postpublished at 15:52 GMT

    HT: Swansea 0-1 Ipswich

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

Swansea are booed off after what was probably their worst opening 45 minutes at home this season.

Alan Sheehan has plenty of work to do at half-time.

GOAL: Middlesbrough 2-1 Birminghampublished at 15:52 GMT

    Hayden Hackney (45+5 mins)

    What a time to score!

Hayden Hackney diverts an Aidan Morris effort beyond James Beadle in the Birmingham goal.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 GMT

    Sheff Utd 0-0 QPR

Nothing doing in this one between two out-of-form sides but the hosts have had much the better of it.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 GMT

    West Brom 0-0 Oxford

A seventh straight half without a goal for West Brom.

They began brightly enough but couldn't fashion a real chance and Mike Johnston's curler past the post is as close as they have come, while Oxford have grown in stature and Cameron Brannagan drew a fine save from Josh Griffiths while Will Lankshear saw decent penalty appeals turned down before the break.

  9. Postpublished at 15:50 GMT

    Sheff Utd 0-0 QPR

Tyrese Campbell hits a shot just wide of the post as the Blades continue to push for the opener.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT

    Swansea 0-1 Ipswich

The Tractor Boys are motoring on the road for the second straight Saturday.

After a bright start Jack Clarke produced a moment of magic with a mazy run and fine low finish past Lawrence Vigouroux to give Town a half-time lead.

A lot of bookings in the opening 45 minutes, four of them to Swansea in a 10-minute spell, if this finishes 11-a-side I'd be surprised.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT

    Stoke 0-0 Coventry

Best defence is trumping best attack, at present, but this big game is yet to really spring to life, if we're honest.

  12. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT

    Norwich 0-0 Leicester

We're into FIVE minutes of time added on before the break at Carrow Road.

The away side are on top right now.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 GMT

    Southampton 2-1 Sheff Wed

Finn Azaz celebratesImage source, PA Media

Southampton lead at the end of an eventful half of football at St Mary's.

Caspar Jender and Finn Azaz gave the hosts a 2-0 lead with their first goals for the club.

The Owls responded well and halved the deficit through a long-range strike from Harry Amass.

Henrik Pederson's side rode their luck as Azaz had an effort cleared off the line to deny the former Middlesbrough player his second goal of the game.

  14. INJURY TIMEpublished at 15:48 GMT

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Birmingham

There are SEVEN minutes of time added on at the end of this first half.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:48 GMT

    Wrexham 0-0 Charlton

All square in a game of few clearcut chances.

Harvey Knibbs hit the bar for the visitors with the best chance of the game so far but both sides' resolute defences have been on top.

  16. Postpublished at 15:47 GMT

    Stoke 0-0 Coventry

Coventry have had the better of it, bossing possession and mustering the most attempts on goal, but it's still just one shot on target apiece as we enter three added minutes at the end of the half.

  17. 'Good half so far for Leicester'published at 15:45 GMT

    Norwich 0-0 Leicester

    Darren Kenton
Former Leicester City defender on BBC Radio Leicester

It has been a good half for Leicester so far. It is never easy when you have to go away from home.

  18. Postpublished at 15:45 GMT

    Wrexham 0-0 Charlton

The hosts are enjoying a strong finish to this first half and are cranking up the pressure on the Addicks.

Ryan Longman fires over the top from close range for Wrexham.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:45 GMT

    West Brom 0-0 Oxford United

Hearts in mouths for Albion as Oxford striker Will Lankshear seems to be wrestled to the deck in the area by Nat Phillips.

Referee Jacob Miles has a look and waves play on.

No VAR in the Championship remember. Perhaps luckily for Phillips.

  20. Ipswich in controlpublished at 15:45 GMT

    Swansea 0-1 Ipswich

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

    Ipswich's goal had been coming.

Swansea have been poor in possession and the paid the price thanks to Jack Clarke's precise finish.

Alan Sheehan could probably do with half-time, and the chance to have a tactical rethink.
