Thousands of football fans from Larne and Dublin are arriving in Belfast for the Europa Conference League match at Windsor Park.

In total, more than 5,000 supporters of Larne FC and Shamrock Rovers are expected in the city for the all-island encounter.

The game brings together the reigning Irish Premiership champions and the defending League of Ireland Premier Division champions.

The match is being played in Belfast as Larne’s stadium, Inver Park, is not big enough to host Conference League matches.

Rovers fans have been arriving in Belfast since early morning by bus, train and car, plus coaches hired by supporters’ clubs.

Yan Dhanda's 94th-minute header gave Heart of Midlothian - then managerless - an opening victory in the Europa Conference League against Dinamo Minsk.

That late winner ended a 10-game winless run which had included their worst ever start to a season.

Hearts have since appointed former Blackpool boss Neil Critchley, and the new manager got off to a winning start against St Mirren on Saturday.

Critchley, 45, succeeds Steven Naismith, who was sacked last month after a winless start, and has signed a deal at Tynecastle that runs until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Critchley said the prospect of playing in Europe was one of the key reasons he joined the club, but he will just "take one game at a time" as he aims to guide the club to the knockout stages.

  7. 'Matter of time' for Felixpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 24 October

    Panathinaikos v Chelsea (17:45 BST)

Chelsea forward Joao Felix into the starting line-up this evening. He said before the match he feels it is "just a matter of time" before he is getting a place in the Blues' starting line-up on a more regular basis.

Prior to tonight, the 24-year-old has made seven appearances since his move from Atletico Madrid in the summer, but just two of those have been from the start and both in cup competitions.

He is facing tough competition with Chelsea's top goalscorer from last season Cole Palmer playing the same position, but that is something Felix was aware of when he signed.

"I spoke with Enzo [Maresca]. I like the way he thinks of football and plays football," Felix said.

"I liked what he said and I knew competition [for places] would be hard, but I am here to work.

"I know what I can do and how I can help the team. You never see me stopping working to follow my dreams. I am here to play, of course, and it is just a matter of time."
