Manchester City have lost their past five away games in all competitions, most recently losing six in a row back in February 1994.
The last reigning top-flight champions to lose six away games in a row were City themselves during the 1968-69 campaign.

Jeremy Doku says Manchester City will stay in their "bubble" for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, following criticism of the team's performances and results in recent weeks.
Doku scored against Nottingham Forest in the 3-0 win at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, as Pep Guardiola's side closed the gap on league leaders Liverpool to seven points.
"They can say whatever they want," said the 22-year-old winger of the criticism his team has received.
"We just stay in our bubble and we're still in December.
"If they think it's over, let them think it's over. We are going to look game by game, try to win as much as possible and we will see at the end."
Doku returned to City's starting XI on Wednesday, weighing in with an assist as well as his goal.
The Belgium international says Guardiola's team block out external criticism and remain focused on themselves rather than what their competitors are doing.
He added: "At the end of the day, when everything goes well they're going to hype you up. When everything goes bad, you're the worst.
"We don't listen, we concentrate on ourselves in our bubble. We know together we'll be stronger."
City entered the game against Forest on a four-match losing streak in the league, with Doku explaining how significant Wednesday's victory was for the morale of the squad.
"We were waiting for this win," he said. "We know it's difficult as a team. We are used to winning so when we had some difficulties to win a game it's difficult.
"We didn't listen to the noise of the outside. We just kept working and grinding."

We asked for your thoughts after Wednesday's Premier League game between Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.
Here are some of your comments:
Man City fans
Lotfi: Not the best, but there were flashes of the old Man City there. The presence of De Bruyne on the pitch seems to lift the whole squad. Grealish seems to relish his number 10 role, but I'm most happy with the clean sheet.
Brian: A spoonful of Kevin magic and everyone is feeling better. Fast, pacy and aggressive. The De Bruyne belief is back. City can and will build on this. Doku was on fire and Ortega kept a clean sheet. City needed this win. The fans responded to Pep and the players responded to the fans.
David: So much better. De Bruyne was the difference, so much more balanced, still some concern about our defence.
Arry: The start of the charge...
Forest fans
Adam: Showed too much respect. A higher press against a City team on a poor run of form could have got the home nerves jangling. Instead, we sat back and gave away far too much space. Having said that... we had the chances to score three ourselves.
Fosi: Nuno gave City their win by his first-half tactics and team selection. Forest gave no competition in the first half. The second half was better but poor defending again cost us goals. Must sort out defending and tactics or we will be back to struggling.
Kris: Another game where we lacked a threat and didn't trouble them when we did attack. There's no disgrace losing to a team packed with superstars though, even with the run they've been on. Our season won't be defined by games like these and the losing margin wasn't the cricket score it could have been. Focus on the next game and putting it right!
Ted: Poor display again - poor in and out of possession and defensively inept. We gave City far too much room. The one decent chance we had and Wood fluffed it. A night to forget.

Match of the Day: How Kevin de Bruyne inspired Man City back to winning ways
Martin Keown believes Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne is among the "finest" players the Premier League has ever seen.
Keown was reacting to the Belgian's starring role in the Blues' 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
De Bruyne, who started for Pep Guardiola's team for the first time since September, marked his return to the XI with a goal and an assist, prompting former Arsenal defender Keown to heap praise on him in the latest episode of Match of the Day.
"He's one of the finest players we have seen in the Premier League," said Keown.
"It is that combination of technique, intelligence and there is a determination.
"His feeling for the game it is like he has a helicopter view of things. It is brilliant to watch."
Former City defender Micah Richards agreed, citing the Belgian's absence as a reason for the four-time Premier League Champions' stuttering Autumn form.
"He just finds a way to get into areas that others can't do," said Richards.
"I know they have missed Rodri but creativity-wise, they have missed De Bruyne. It is so good to see him back."
Manchester City are now unbeaten in each of their last 31 Premier League games with Kevin De Bruyne in the starting line-up (W26 D5), with the Belgian directly involved in 25 goals across those matches (9 goals, 16 assists).

Former Manchester City defender Jen Beattie says Pep Guardiola's men "looked so much tighter defensively" against Nottingham Forest, but it was Kevin de Bruyne who ran the show.
"He was flying from the get-go," said Beattie on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily podcast. "He was involved in everything and he was driving his team forward.
"To come away with a goal and an assist in your first start in so many games is fantastic. It is a credit to him for how much hard work he has put in to rehab and to getting back to this level.
"He got a standing ovation when he came off the field and that is no surprise. He looked sharp and the team got the reward off the back of it."

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, speaking to Amazon Prime after the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest: "It's been a tough time. We have to accept the challenge and I think we did well today.
"It's been a hard period but we have to accept the challenge. The Premier League is getting harder and harder and every team is tough to play.
"Everybody is taking points off everybody. We have to improve. First we have to try to win games and we'll see in a couple of months where we are."
Speaking about De Bruyne's performance, City boss Pep Guardiola added: "He was excellent, especially in the first half and even the second, he was really, really good.
"The presence he has is so important. Not today but for many, many years since I arrived, he has an incredible influence on our game."

Sutton's predictions: Man City v Nottingham Forestpublished at 11:25 4 December 2024
11:25 4 December 2024
Chris Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, against a variety of guests.
For week 14, he takes on James Ryan, bassist with rock band The Slow Readers Club.
Sutton's prediction: 2-2
Manchester City's form has to turn around at some point, but there is little sign of that happening at the moment.
Nottingham Forest are going to be awkward opponents for them and, as the only team to have beaten Liverpool so far, they will fancy their chances at Etihad Stadium too.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side love defending and they will make it very hard for City to break them down.
City still have the talent but it has not been clicking and, physically, Forest will probably have the edge. The defending champions' confidence is shot to pieces and teams must feel they can get at them.
So, I think there will be goals and this could turn out to be a battle between two big number nines - 'The Wood Chopper’' Chris Wood for Forest and City's Erling Haaland. I fancy both of them to score.
Ryan's prediction: 3-1
City have basically wiped the floor with everyone for the past five years but I am going with my experience of when I used to play football myself and, when you're in a team and have lost a few in a row, then no matter who you are it is so difficult to get out of that rut, which is where City are at the moment. They are going to bounce back at some point. I do think big Chris Wood will get a goal, though.
