We're not seeing the degradation that we've seen in previous years here in Singapore.

Everybody just seems to be status quo at the moment with regards to their tyre life and tyre management.

Mercedes did a bit of double-stack with their pit stops earlier and now Kimi Antonelli, on the hards and in sixth, is collecting the fastest lap purple stopwatch. The Italian rookie might be able to get the jump on Charles Leclerc ahead of him, who is now running in fifth place following Ferrari's pit action.

The McLarens pitting when they did hasn't hurt them but they haven't gained anything, so strategy for them was a case of just staying where they were.

  14. Team radio - Racing Bulls to Hadjarpublished at 13:51 BST

Engineer: "Okay, listen carefully, we have an engine issue. Three to four tenths a lap. I'm really sorry, it's back."

Hadjar: "Mate, what the hell is wrong with this engine? Again."

Aston Martin also make a bit of a hash of their pit stop and Fernando Alonso has to twiddle his thumbs and wait to be released. The Spaniard is out of the top 10 and in 15th place.

  16. Slow stop for Piastripublished at 13:49 BST

    Lap 27/62

And here comes the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri. Should be a quick stop for the championship leader. Wait a minute, there's an issue! The Australian is stopped for longer than he would've liked and he heads into battle in fourth place behind Lando Norris. The left rear didn't want to play ball.

  17. Team radio - McLaren to Piastripublished at 13:48 BST

    'Box, box."

  18. Team radio - McLaren to Norrispublished at 13:47 BST

Engineer: "Lando, the gap to Oscar is 4.7. He is going to have to pit soon to cover Leclerc. Are you willing to let Oscar pit the lap before you?"

    Norris: "Yes. No, I wouldn't."

McLaren have just delivered a long radio message to Lando Norris about when to pit. There's a lot to think about for the man sitting in second place in the title race, but he heads in and takes the hard tyre anyway. Out he comes in fourth place, making Oscar Piastri the defacto leader.

  20. 'Russell doing a solid job'published at 13:46 BST

    Sam Bird

There should be no concern for George Russell at this stage, he's building himself up a gap over Lando Norris.

Even if Norris comes towards him a little bit, the Mercedes going into this weekend wasn't supposed to have great tyre longevity in comparison to the McLaren. Russell is doing a solid job.
