Haas are on the blower to Kevin Magnussen to say please, look after the tyres, there's a long way to go. The Dane's reply is peppered with a fruity word.

The Haas pit-wall will have been looking through their hands, they managed to survive that little battle.

It shows that the undercut is powerful here so that's interesting information.

The pit stops for the Haas drivers has promoted Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda up into the points places. Alex Albon spies a chance to pass Charles Leclerc and he does it! The Williams man is into 17th spot.

The top three are still Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and George Russell. The Dutchman is cruising in the lead.

Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg have visited the pits and now both are battling for position out on track. Magnussen, in 15th makes it 1-1 now after last night's Euros and moves his car up above Hulkenberg, who is sitting in 16th.

The gap at the front Max Verstappen has built is now 4.6 seconds from the McLaren of Lando Norris in second.

Engineer: "We are Plan A"

We are seeing both Haas cars in the top ten at the moment, that would be pretty amazing if they both get to score today.

Charles Leclerc is running with the backmarkers down in 19th position. The Ferrari driver is a long way from the podium places. Kevin Magnussen and Daniel Ricciardo head into the pits for a tyre swap. Hards for both.

It's going to be interesting to see how [Hamilton] deals with it.

This is painful [for Hamilton] when you are stuck behind a slower car. In these conditions when you know the tyres are going to be crucial later in the race and you know the deg[radation] could be really high, sitting in that dirty air is horrible.

The two Haas driver are separated by the Alpine of Esteban Ocon, with Nico Hulkenberg in eighth, Ocon in ninth and Kevin Magnussen in 10th spot.

Out front we've got Max and Lando slowly getting that separation and at the moment it looks like the Mercedes does have the upper hand over the Ferrari.

Fastest lap of the race goes to Lando Norris in second, who is 3.3 seconds behind the Red Bull of Max Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton loses a place to the man he is replacing at Ferrari - Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard is up to fourth with the Mercedes man in fifth. Oscar Piastri also manages to overtake Sergio Perez for sixth.

Replays of the race start show there was also contact between Oscar Piastri and Sergio Perez, which enabled Charles Leclerc to go through with his broken wing.

It's all about tyre management and DRS, the DRS here is worth seventh tenths a lap. It's going to be a balancing act between looking after your tyres and trying to break DRS or get DRS from the cars out front.

Oscar Piastri has made his way back to the seventh spot he started in. Sergio Perez has lifted his Red Bull to sixth, while Nico Hulkenberg is running in eighth place in the Haas - with team-mate Kevin Magnussen also in the top 10.

That Ferrari of Carlos Sainz is close being [the Mercedes] and is going to be waiting for any slip up.
