We've got another penalty, Perez has got a five-second penalty.

The teams are responsible for serving their own penalties, so when a car comes in to do a pit-stop, the team have to time that penalty.

Gasly: "He's got to pass Fernando, we're losing time now."

Fernando Alonso has two Alpines on his rear wing and one of them, Pierre Gasly, wants Esteban Ocon to shift out the way and let him have a go and chasing down the Aston Martin instead.

It's always difficult to manage a driver who is on their way out because you lose a bit of leverage in all honesty.

The purple stopwatch is with Lando Norris but that gap to Max Verstappen is now 7.8 seconds.

George Russell is staying put in that final podium place and has Carlos Sainz and his Ferrari back as a competitor for his third spot.

Perez incident has been noted for speeding in the pit-lane, there's a lot of penalties coming out today.

Max Verstappen is back in the lead of this race after the first pit stops and has gathered up a seven-second advantage over the McLaren of Lando Norris.

These engines do have an extremely wide operating window when it comes to shifting, they've got a lot of talk to play with.

You do see drivers playing around with that shift point, either early or late, and Max was asking what the best gear was for the end of the straight.

Charles Leclerc is also being given some words of pep by his Ferrari engineers. The Italian team tell him all is not lost today, but he is running in 18th place, so...

Max Verstappen needs the Red Bull customer service line, as the Dutchman thinks he may be experiencing some issues with his gears. His engineer takes him through instructions.

He [Hamilton] knew, he got over the line on his pit entry and that has cost him a penalty which we will see at his next pit-stop.

Lando Norris sets a new fastest lap on the hard tyre.

Lewis Hamilton is informed of his penalty and tells his Mercedes team: "sorry, guys".

Max Verstappen, who Lando Norris is talking about in the previous entry, is under investigation for an unsafe release.

Norris: "He launched right at me"

Engineer: "Yeah on it"

Norris: "He launched straight into me. I couldn't turn right to the box."

Oscar Piastri has come in for a stop and that lifts Max Verstappen back into the lead of the race. Lando Norris is in second.
