    The question now is with the rain stopping and the track getting dry again, do we see the same pattern of car performance that we saw in the first stint?

    Do we see the McLarens of Norris and Piastri start to come back? If they do so, they are doing so from much closer behind than they were doing in the first stint.

    DRS is now enabled and George Russell and Mercedes are debating when the right time will be to switch to the slicks. Lando Norris continues to knock out the fastest laps but oh no, there is a dirty-looking cloud hovering above the circuit.

    Charles Leclerc is trundling along in 19th place, trying to stay out of the way of the likes of Max Verstappen as they pass his Ferrari. The Dutchman, in P1, is over two seconds clear of George Russell and his Mercedes.

    The purple stopwatch is a permanent visitor to the name of Lando Norris on the timing tower. The McLaren is chasing down George Russell for second but if he looks over his shoulder he'll see team-mate Oscar Piastri and now the second Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton, vying for his podium place.

    So Carlos Sainz was involved in a scuffle with Valtteri Bottas and Daniel Ricciardo, which caused a spot of damage to the front of his Ferrari. The incident has been noted by the stewards.

    The front of Carlos Sainz's car comes extremely close to the rear of Valtteri Bottas' Sauber, with the Spaniard running down in 13th place. Max Verstappen up the front, meanwhile, is nearly a second clear of George Russell's Mercedes.
