    I suspect that Lando Norris was a bit off the track and he felt that he needed to give the position back on his own volition.

    This is a very interesting comparison, you've had Oscar Piastri on Max Verstappen and now you've got Lando Norris on Verstappen. I think Norris has compromised himself a little bit by trying that move round the outside.

    It was obvious what Verstappen was going to do and run him off the kerb which has cost him time now.

    All the time this is going on, Verstappen is playing games with Norris in his head.

    Lando Norris is up into second place, but the move was made as he and Max Verstappen went off the track. A few corners later, the McLaren driver hands the place back and goes back into third spot.

    Max Verstappen is not happy with his Red Bull at the moment. Everything is all over the place according to the Dutchman. Championship leader Oscar Piastri could be on for his fourth win of the season if the order stays like this.

    Andrew Priestley: Piastri called Verstappen’s bluff into Turn 1. He knew he was always going to try to force him off on the outside under braking, so he lined him up with the switchback move.

    And now Max Verstappen is feeling the heat from the second McLaren of Lando Norris! The Briton is just window shopping at the moment, looking for the right time to strike. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri is three seconds up the road after taking the inside line as Verstappen tried to defend hard for the lead on the previous lap.

    McLaren will be telling their drivers that the goal is to get in front of Max Verstappen, but what we must do before we fight over a race victory between the two is first get past Verstappen.

    The McLaren has done it! Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen have battled fiercely but the Dutchman runs wide at Turn One and the Australian finally makes the move stick.

    This is a fascinating tactical battle fighting for the lead. Max Verstappen is doing what he always does, always defends the inside and then plan to run the driver on the outside and off the track if he can.

    What Oscar Piastri has to do is get ahead going into the corner on the outside, and then Verstappen can't run him off but he still might, that's the risk you have to take as a driver.

    Behind the top two, Lando Norris is third, Kimi Antonelli is fourth, George Russell is fifth and the two Williams are still in the points in sixth and seventh.

    Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri are side-by-side but the Red Bull holds position.

    How long can Max Verstappen hold out against the attack of Oscar Piastri, we'll have to wait and see. The racing is frantic at the front and the Dutchman tells Red Bull it's slippery out there.

    Oscar Piastri is trying to pass Max Verstappen but the Dutchman isn't a four-time world champion for nothing. Red Bull are on the radio to tell Verstappen to stay on the inside and make Piastri work for it.

    [On the incident between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen] I'm quite surprised at how quickly I saw Max Verstappen when I looked at his steering input, it looked to me that he put a deliberate jerk to the right on the steering to try and make sure that Lando Norris didn't go round the outside.

    I would like another look at that, I'm not sure I totally agree with their [the stewards'] decision.

    Fernando Alonso takes a spin in the Aston Martin and is down in 18th place. Up at the front of the pack. Oscar Piastri is hunting down Max Verstappen as the pair reach the main straight. Piastri reckons the run down to Turn One is the ideal place to pounce...

  19. Norris overtakes Antonelli

    McLaren are the phone to Oscar Piastri to say the rain is incoming soon. While one side chats weather, Lando Norris is busy overtaking Kimi Antonelli at Turn 11. He's back in the podium places and will have to pass his team-mate in order to return to his original starting spot.

    Lando Norris is flying but it's his team-mate Oscar Piastri who is clocking the fastest laps. The Briton has DRS on the Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli and is slowly inching closer to the youngster.
