Race control, unsurprisingly, have noted the incident between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris at Turn Two. Oscar Piastri asks if the Dutchman has received a penalty? No news yet, say McLaren.
And he won't get one, either, as the stewards have decided to take no further action.
Isack Hadjar started in front of his idol Lewis Hamilton in Miami but the rookie can't defend against the experienced driver once he decides to pounce. Hamilton breezes past and is now P11.

Max Verstappen is still leading this Miami Grand Prix despite his nervy moments on lap one. Kimi Antonelli soon finds himself under threat from championship leader Oscar Piastri and the Australian wastes no time taking the teenager's second place.
The other McLaren of Lando Norris has gained a spot on Alex Albon and is now in fifth.

Liam Lawson's tag with Jack Doohan sent the Racing Bulls driver into a spin. The New Zealander is on the radio to complain as he drops down to 19th place.

There might have been contact between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris as the pair battle for the lead. "He forced me off," says Norris to his pit wall. The Briton tried to go on the inside of Max Verstappen and was squeezed out.
The virtual safety car is deployed for Jack Doohan's Alpine. Liam Lawson tagged the Australian's wheel and that's his race done.

That was a little bit of an overbold defence by Lando Norris, it was a disaster. He got round the outside and tried to recover his position on Max Verstappen and he ran wide.

Max Verstappen gets a good start off the line but the Dutchman locks up slightly and is under pressure. Lando Norris thinks he can take advantage but the McLaren driver is pushed out and has lost places already! Norris is all the way down in sixth now.
Kimi Antonelli moves to second and Oscar Piastri is now in third. Jack Doohan also has a puncture in the Alpine.
