Thanks for your company through the evening - remember, there's plenty more exciting golf to come next month.

We'll have live coverage of the DP World Tour's flagship BMW Championship at Wentworth and then of course, it's the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.

There will be live radio and text coverage, as well as television highlights, as Fleetwood and Europe try to win on US soil for the first time since a certain 'Miracle at Medinah' in 2012.

    Until then, goodbye.

  5. 'I've been PGA Tour winner for a long time in my mind'published at 23:08 British Summer Time

More from your winner, Mr Tommy Fleetwood:

"A nice rule change this year [to remove starting strokes]. I've been a PGA Tour winner for a long time, it's just been in my mind.

"I've always enjoyed the challenge and happy to get this one.

"I hope I always make it clear how grateful I am for the support. There's times when I've felt pretty shocking walking off the golf course, and the support from people helped me immensely.

"Once I'd duffed that chip onto the green at 18 to about eight feet, I felt pretty safe from there.

"I love coming to work every day and working to compete against the best players in the world. You're consistently striving to be better and I feel lucky to walk onto the range and see the likes of Scottie and Rory.

"I'm so proud to have won this tournament this week. My stepson Oscar is the only one of the family here. To my family and all my friends at home, I can't wait to speak to them and celebrate with them."

  10. 'Hopefully one of many to come' - Fleetwoodpublished at 22:55 British Summer Time

    Fleetwood -18 (68)

Tommy Fleetwood has been talking after claiming his first PGA Tour win:

"You just keep learning. There was Travelers, Memphis and others before. I've had a great attitude throughout it all.

"I was a bit erratic at times today and I was really proud of how I found my swing again on the 11th hole.

"When you've lost so many times, a three-shot lead down the last doesn't feel like that many. Whether I've won or not, I've still been proud of my career.

"Hopefully this is one of many to come. I'll continue to try to get better and be the best I can be.

"[The fans] are amazing, it makes me a bit emotional. I'm so lucky with the support I get - it's so special and I hope everyone knows how grateful I am for it."

Justin Rose looked proud as punch at the side of the 18th green when Tommy Fleetwood knocked in that final putt.

Not only is he well liked among supporters, he's one of the most popular players among his fellow tour pros.

Patrick Cantlay's chip is nicely played up the slope, but it comes up short and Tommy Fleetwood is on the verge of his first PGA Tour win.

What a time to get it.

In these circumstances, that is glorious.

Tommy Fleetwood lands it on the putting surface and rolls it out to within eight or nine feet.

A long old chat between Fleetwood and his caddie Ian Finnis.

Tommy dries his grip, visualises the shot and launches a five iron that finishes short of the green in the rough.

It looks a decent lie and he's got plenty of green to work with.

Patrick Cantlay needs an eagle to have any chance, but he's off the back of the green.
