Tommy Fleetwood is having to really battle at the minute.

He pulls his tee shot left at 10 and is forced to chip back into the fairway.

However, a magnificent approach leaves a very makeable par putt.

Patrick Cantlay has just over five feet for a what would be a massive birdie...

    Henley -15, Bradley -14 (11)

Keegan Bradley gets up and down from just off the front edge of the 11th green to save par.

Russell Henley finds the green with his tee shot but can't make the 22-footer for birdie so also settles for par.

  3. Strong finish for McIlroypublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 24 August

    McIlroy -6 (70)

Rory McIlroy has just finished up for the week with a birdie-birdie finish.

He's the only three-time winner of this event - in 2016, 2019 and 2022 but he couldn't keep up his sequence of winning every third year.

Still, it's been a great year for the Northern Irishman who will need no excuse to don his Green Jacket and remember the day he joined the legends of the game as a Grand Slam winner.

I reckon he'll be on it at Bethpage.

    Scheffler -14 (12)

Scottie Scheffler hasn't looked happy all day and he swishes his driver in frustration after he finds the right rough at 13.

It's a reflection of how good he is that he's still in contention despite not having his best stuff this week.

Tommy Fleetwood's birdie attempt on nine is tentative, but he tidies up from four feet to make his par.

The Englishman exhales deeply as he heads for the back nine.

Patrick Cantlay also makes par to remain three back.

A chunk and run from Keegan Bradley and his ball releases past the hole and keeps on trundling, eight, nine, 10 feet. Big par saver coming up for the Ryder Cup skipper.

From the other side of the green Russell Henley hits a lovely putt up the hill to kick-in range. Par.

Right Keegan. What you got? Missed. Shot gone.

Tommy, that is magnificent. Well done.

Dropping a shot there would have been a real body blow.

  9. Big par save for Fleetwoodpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 24 August

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -15 (8)

Patrick Cantlay leaves his birdie putt short, but Tommy Fleetwood makes no such error.

It's a confident stroke and he makes the right-to-left putt look very straightforward when it was anything but.

A huge par save for the leader.

    Henley -15, Bradley -15 (9)

Keegan Bradley finally misses a green. He almost airmails the 10th, his ball disappearing into the cabbage off the back edge.

Russell Henley meanwhile is a touch tentative with his approach, his ball clinging on to the front edge.

    Good news for Tommy fans...

The final pair both get a free drop from the grandstand after wild tee shots at eight.

Patrick Cantlay finds the green, while Tommy Fleetwood needs three shots to find the putting surface.

Fleetwood will at least get a read off his playing partner as he tries to save par.

    Hovland -11 (63)

A four-footer for birdie is all Viktor Hovland has left in this year's Tour Championship and the Norwegian strokes the ball home.

It wasn't the best start to the week but the round of the day so far has lifted him to a tie for 10th at present.

    See you at Bethpage Viktor!

Russell Henley is hopping around like Zebedee in a greenside bunker on the ninth, trying to get a view of the pin. He splashes out to a foot. Excellent shot.

Keegan Bradley hits a solid putt across the green, his ball wandering off left at the death. Pars.

Ludvig Aberg, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, Shane Lowry, Sepp Straka and Jon Rahm, yes absolutely. Without these we have no chance.

"Go. Go. Go." Keegan Bradley is talking to his ball again. He's on the ninth tee. A par-three hole. HIs ball listens and comes to rest pin-high, 25 feet to the right of the hole.

That's nine greens hit in regulation.

The driveable par-four eighth is next for our leader.

With a three shot lead, does he go for it or play safe?

He's got mini driver in hand, but sprays it miles right into the fans. That was the shot of a man wary of water down the left.

    Henley -15, Bradley -15 (7)

"Get up there. I'll take that."

Keegan Bradley is talking his ball up the slope from down below the eighth green. He played it with a hooded clubface, such was his stance, perched right on the edge of the fairway - we've all seen the videos of amateurs tumbling back into the water, but Keegan keeps his balance.

"It's 20 feet, makeable, happy days," says his caddie with the ultimate positivity. Keegan can't get his putt to the hole though. Work to do. Par saved.

Meanwhile, Russell Henley can't get up and down for birdie from the bunker. A hole that has given up plenty of birdies today proves too much for these two.
