This is going to be very emotional. Come on Tommy

At Barbados airport waiting to board and following progress by BBC text update. Come on Tommy, get it done before we board! Met Tommy at the Malaysian Open about 14 years ago. Been a fan ever since.

C'mon Tommy - here in Barcelona operating a conference and I'm desperate need of sleep, but that's not happening whilst we wait for Tommy to bring it home on the 18th

    Nicola in Barcelona

This is now agonising. Wife on another wine to cope.

Stevo, still in The Algarve desperately waiting to shout and cheer

Still here on the campsite with Tim. The other halves are moaning we're too loud - we don't care. C'mon Tommy!!

Tommy Fleetwood is in a decent spot after whacking driver at the par-five 18th.

I dread to think how he felt over that tee shot. Knees weak, arms heavy, as someone once said...

The wait between text updates is agonising. He has to do it - one of the nicest blokes on the tour.

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -15 (17)

A good effort from Tommy Fleetwood with his long-range birdie and he taps in for par.

Patrick Cantlay's birdie putt never looked like dropping and the lead stays at three.

    Breathe everyone.

It's not what any of you are particularly interested in right now, but US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley makes birdie at the last to finish at 13 under.

    Back to the final pair...

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -15 (16)

Tommy Fleetwood finds the thick part of the green with his second shot - exactly where he was aiming.

Patrick Cantlay is closer though - he needs a birdie to apply some pressure going down the last.

The wife is now heavily invested after I explained the whole Cantlay and the 'cap waving incident' at the Ryder Cup.

Stevo in The Algarve, this time with more approving stares from the wife

Come on Tommy. Currently nervously watching the BBC Sport updates and got everything crossed for such a lovely fella to get that first PGA Tour win.

    Laurie in Tenerife

Sat with my mate outdoors on a campsite in the North Yorkshire Moors “watching” the golf via the BBC live reporting feed. It's dark and cold but we're not going anywhere!

Peter is off writing his report, but I can assure you all I'm typing like the clappers to keep you up to date!

Patrick Cantlay is also in the fairway at 17 and we've had another message from Stevo in Portugal...

Tommy Fleetwood looks stoney-faced as he goes through his pre-shot routine on the 17th tee.

Driver in hand... and he couldn't have placed it any better.

A1, the mayor's office - whatever you want to call it, Fleetwood is right where he'd want to be.

  14. Cantlay misses as lead back to threepublished at 22:17 British Summer Time 24 August

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -15 (16)

Both players miss, but it's a dropped shot for Patrick Cantlay and England's Tommy Fleetwood is three clear with two to play.

    He's nearly there.

  15. Postpublished at 22:14 British Summer Time 24 August

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -16 (15)

Patrick Cantlay hacks his way back into the fairway and leaves 15ft for his par - that is a must-make putt for the American.

Tommy Fleetwood has a similar distance for birdie after another superb iron shot.

  16. Scheffler's title defence endspublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 24 August

    Scheffler -14 (68)

Scottie Scheffler's defence of the Tour Championship ends with a par at 18.

He has battled his way round today, but still made a two-under 68.

It's impressive how he stayed in the hunt without his A game, but the winner is only going to come from the final pair.

    Back to them we go...

He is alone in third place.

    Fleetwood -18, Cantlay -16 (15)

This will help all you nervous readers out there - yourself included Andy.

Tommy Fleetwood finds the fairway at 16, but Patrick Cantlay is left in the thick, thick rough.

The American has a very tough job to make par from there...

    First of all, thanks Andy.

I can confirm Tommy looks predictably tense given the situation - there are plenty of deep breaths and he's drying his grips before every shot given the humid conditions and sweaty palms.

Dearest George and Peter, you are doing a damn fine job. Could I request an increased frequency of updates however. Currently in Majorca, without TV, everyone asleep, I'm pretending to go to sleep but very much committed to Tommy lad doing the business. Let's get into the weeds here, how is his posture, stride length, footstep bounce, general demeanour?

    Yours Fleetwoodly, Andy xox
