Wednesday has been a very poignant day at the Festival and has turned into a poignant tribute to former jockey Michael O'Sullivan.

O'Sullivan, 24, who died following a fall at Thurles last month, had two of the horses he previously won on at Cheltenham win on Wednesday.

First, Marine Nationale won the Queen Mother Champion Chase before Jazzy Matty won the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge.

In 2023, O'Sullivan won on both horses at the same day at the Festival.

Earlier in the day, The New Lion won the Turner Novices' Hurdle to give trainer JP McManus his 80th career winner at Cheltenham.

No Drama This End was a big money purchase, Paul Nicholls spent £160,000. I saw him in a point to point recently and he was very impressive. I just wonder if he is next year's horse.

For the final race of the day, we have a bit of a special one - this is the only race across the Festival that has no hurdles or fences to jump.

It is for horses who are yet to begin their jumping careers and is seen as a starting point for many top-class hurdlers and chasers.

Romeo Coolio finished third in this race last year and went on to again finish third in the opening race of the day yesterday.
