Jonbon looks tense, that's just his nature. Can he show his best?

A moment of drama as the horses are shown the first fence by the jockeys - Solness backed up and clattered into the side of the obstacle, knocking off a plastic bar.

Will that unsettle Solness? Or Jonbon, who was stood just behind? Jonbon's jockey Nico de Boinville was very unimpressed.

Jonbon has only failed to win three of its 20 races. All of those have come at Cheltenham.

But the nine-year-old has won twice here, and is the odds-on favourite today.

I don't subscribe to this theory that Jonbon doesn't like the place. This is his day. He's the horse at the top of his division.

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan speaking to ITV Racing: "It's always great to come to Cheltenham for the Festival. I came for five years and the early 2000s and didn't see a horse. It's great to be among the horses today.

"It's a community, it's always a great craic coming to Cheltenham. You always see friends, make new friends and see people giving tips.

On whether he has ever thought about buying a racehorse: "There's a few friends of mine today that are trying to get me to buy a leg or two."

On whether England can win the Ashes later this year: "They'll have to play very well, but Australia are clear favourites."

Jockey Nico de Boinville speaking to ITV about Constitution Hill's fall on Tuesday: "The horse is absolutely fine. He lives to fight another day which is great. We'll probably see him in Ireland."

On forgetting about that disappointment: "You have to do it pretty quickly when you're here.

On Jonbon and his chances in the Queen Mother Champion Chase: "I think he's as good as we can get him, ready to go and let's just get on.

"Nothing is a given here, you have to go out and do it. I purely focus on the race.

On his race tactics: "Probably run my own race and see what everyone does. I will just ride my race and adjust accordingly. Some will probably go hard."

So, Jonbon will start this race as hot favourite.

Will he win in a Blaze Of Glory, and the others be left Livin' On A Prayer? If he wins, will he be sleeping on a Bed Of Roses in his stable tonight?

Or will any of the competitors declare It's My Life and put in a best ever performance to Runaway with the crown?

(That's enough Bon Jovi puns - Ed.)

The main race of the day is the Queen Mother Champion Chase where Jonbon will look to see off the chasing pack.

Jonbon arrives with three wins in his last three outings for jockey Nico de Boinville and trainer Nicky Henderson, but has lost three times in five visits to Cheltenham. A win here would give Henderson a record seventh victory in this race.

Energumene won this race in 2022 and 2023 and goes searching for its third Queen Mother Champion Chase for trainer Willie Mullins.

Captain Guinness won this race 2024, but does arrive out of form.

We'll be going for the National in four weeks time. This is what dreams are made of. He absolutely loves these fences.

"I've been coming here for about 15 years. This is our first horse and to be here is incredible. You only get a day like this once in a lifetime."

"I was hanging in there. He didn't jump as good as he could, but he stays well and we knew he wasn't going to get beat. He really likes these fences."

We've just seen replays of Vanillier going the wrong way in the early stages. It looked like an error from jockey Sean Flanagan, he was looking around as if unsure where to go.

Vanillier recovered to finish third. Could it have won without that mistake?

Flanagan may have explaining to do to the stewards.

A shock on this second day - the favourite wins!

Heading into the final five or six obstacles, it looked like Stumptown was flagging - but it was a clever play by jockey Keith Donoghue to reserve energy, and over the final hurdle it looked rocket-powered.

Vanillier, after that incredible early mistake where it almost took the field all the way to Gloucester, has remarkably recovered to finish third.
