The list of Tuesday's Football League games called off so far

League One: Port Vale v Crawley; Stevenage v Crewe.

League Two: Mansfield v Bury; Northampton v Rochdale.

Port Vale's League One game against Crawley Town on Tuesday night has been postponed because of the condition of the pitch.

No new date has been agreed as yet for the re-arranged fixture.

In the same division, Stevenage v Crewe has also been called off.

Marussia F1 president Graeme Lowdon is hopeful the 2014 rule changes will see a return to "competitive racing".

A raft of alterations have come in, including a change in the points and penalty systems, and the introduction of 1.6-litre turbo-charged engines.

"Hopefully the new rules will drive some parity onto the grid and prevent the stretching out we've seen over recent years," he said. "It's not been good for the sport. People love that Grands Prix have a unique atmosphere, but equally, the unpredictability is what excites fans."

Tuesday's League Two game between Mansfield and Bury has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

Wales Women have named three uncapped players for Sunday's opening Six Nations clash against Italy at the Talbot Athletic Ground in Port Talbot. Wing Laurie Harries and centre Robyn Wilkins will make their international debut alongside Llandaff North colleague Jenny Hawkins, who will pack down in the second row.

Cardiff defender Matthew Connolly will be out of contention for a further six or seven weeks after undergoing ankle surgery.

The 26-year-old, a member of last season's promotion-winning side, has not played since September.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "He has had an operation and he will be about another six to seven weeks, I reckon. He's been on crutches ever since I came but the last week he has been starting some rehab."

So who is Luuk de Jong, who has travelled to Newcastle for a medical ahead of a proposed move to the Premier League?

De Jong scored 37 goals in 63 league appearances for FC Twente before securing a £12.6m switch to Borussia Moenchengladbach.
