    Norwich manager Chris Hughton is ignoring speculation over his position as he prepares his side for their meeting with Tottenham on Sunday.

    Crystal Palace's Jerome Thomas will have a back complaint assessed ahead of his side's meeting with Manchester United at Selhurst Park, which kicks off at 17:30 GMT on Saturday.

    Team mate Glenn Murray recently returned to action from a 10-month layoff due to cruciate ligament damage, and having appeared against West Brom as a substitute he could be involved against the Premier League champions.

    Uefa have charged Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini with misconduct following his comments regarding referee Jonas Eriksson in his side's defeat by Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

    Pellegrini apologised for those comments during his pre-match press briefing earlier today, saying: "I repeat I didn't have any serious accusation, not against Uefa, not against the referee, not against Sweden, not against anyone so it was my way of thinking and I was angry."

    His case will be heard next Friday.

    Norwich manager Chris Hughton could pick midfielder Jonny Howson for the first time in two months for his side's clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

    Howson has been out of action due to a back injury, but Jonas Gutierrez (calf) and defender Ryan Bennett (thigh) will both miss the match against the club Hughton represented with distinction during his playing career.

    Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has been charged with misconduct by the FA following his side's 2-2 draw with Leicester City on Wednesday.

    Davies was sent to the stands at half-time by referee Anthony Morgan for protesting about a challenge by Leicester's Wes Morgan, for which Davies felt Morgan should have sent off.

    Despite scoring 61 goals in 95 Premier League starts and 23 goals already this season Luis Suarez still does not think he is in the same category as Liverpool greats Kenny Dalgish and Steven Gerrard.

    The Uruguay international's form has had everyone talking about whether he is the best Liverpool player ever but he believes he's still got a long way to go.

    Only Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have beaten Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this season but Stoke City boss Mark Hughes, who played for all three, is hoping to become team number four on Saturday.

    "They've been absolutely outstanding at home and averaged a significant amount of goals as well, so it's a huge task," he said.

    "But we've had really positive results against the top teams this year, beating Chelsea and Manchester United, drawing with City, which very few teams have been able to accomplish, so we were pleased with that performance at the Britannia."

    Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is glad he ignored Steve Bruce's advice to avoid a career in coaching, as the pair meet in the Wales on Saturday.

    "I don't really know Brucey that well because he left before I came to United, but we've met a few times," he said.

    "We never got to know each other as players but I remember he said to me a few years ago about management 'don't even think about it because it's too stressful'.

    "But I enjoy it, I love it. You could have an easy life - it's not like you have to work because you've made your money - but that's not me."

    Garry Monk will pit his managerial wits against one of his former manager's on Saturday when he takes his Swansea side to Anfield to face Liverpool.

    Monk was Swans captain under Rodgers and the Liverpool boss has been full of praise for his former skipper.

    "He was a brilliant captain for me when I was there and when I look at Swansea I can see them getting back to the good things, passing, pressing the ball well all over the field.

    "I speak a lot with senior players whatever team I'm at and when I was there he was magnificent. "

    South Africa are making Australia struggle in the second Test in Port Elizabeth.

    The second day has just finished with the Aussies 112-4 in reply to the hosts' total of 423, with opener David Warner 65 not out and Nathan Lyon, sent in as a nightwatchman, holding up the other end.

    It could have been even worse for Australia, with Lyon put down by JP Duminy in the last over of the day. The dropped chance, off the bowling of Wayne Parnell, blotted Duminy's copybook after the all-rounder had compiled 123 in his side's impressive score.

    Marouane Fellaini may return to action for Manchester United at Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Belgian midfielder has not played for two months following wrist and back problems but was on the bench for last week's goalless draw at Arsenal.

    Phil Jones may return from a calf injury, but Jonny Evans looks set to miss out with a similar issue.

    Glen Johnson is back in the Liverpool squad for the visit of Swansea this weekend after recovering from an ankle injury.

    The England international has not played since 18 January and was ruled out indefinitely, but will be back in contention on Saturday.

    "Glen has been back training, said Rodgers.

    "According to him, he has felt as good as he has done for a long time - which is great."

    Lucas Leiva and Mamadou Sakho are both still out injured.
