Manchester United's share price climbed by 1% immediately after the New York Stock Exchange opened following the news that manager David Moyes had been sacked.
Hull City striker Yannick Sagbo is fined £15,000 after admitting a Football Association charge over social media postings relating to the quenelle gesture.
The Ivory Coast international is also warned as to his future conduct and ordered to complete a compulsory education course.
Sagbo, 25, was charged by the FA with improper conduct.
Former West Brom striker Anelka was banned for five games and fined £80,000 for making the quenelle sign after scoring against West Ham in December. The ex-France international, 35, was later sacked by the Baggies.

The psychologist who will accompany the England squad to Brazil for the World Cup finals has likened Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers to ex-British Cycling team boss Sir Dave Brailsford.
Dr Steve Peters has been working closely with title-chasing Liverpool.
Dr Peters told the Radio Times that Rodgers was "very psychologically minded" like Brailsford.

Andrew, via text on 81111: Man U have an academy that is no longer producing stars, an inexperienced CEO, a coaching set up that is now dismantled and a set of owners without football connections. This could be a long road back. They can't take a risk, they need Van Gaal.

Six-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic should be fit to play the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid, which begins on 5 May.

Understand Louis van Gaal's involvement at the World Cup this summer will not prevent Manchester United considering him for the manager's job.
