Manchester United's victory at Bayer Leverkusen was the penultimate game in a 12-match unbeaten run in October and November, but another dark week swiftly followed for David Moyes.

First, Moyes was embarrassed as his successor at Everton, Roberto Martinez, achieved what he could not do in 11 years at Goodison Park - a win at Old Trafford. Then, Newcastle inflicted back-to-back Premier League home defeats for United for the first time since the end of the 2001-02 season.

Borussia Dortmund will not fall apart after top scorer Robert Lewandowski leaves for Bayern Munich at the end of the season, says the Bundesliga club's chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

"There were predictions that we wouldn't be able to cope with the loss of Nuri Sahin to Real," he says. "The same was said when Shinji Kagawa went to Manchester United.

"We certainly won't be able to fully replace Robert, but we won't fall into a Lewandowski hole."

'The Chosen One' sign has hung from the Stretford End at Old Trafford since August, but will be removed before Saturday's home match with Norwich.

Stretford End Flags, which had the banner made, could donate it to the National Football Museum in Manchester.
