Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost once again tussled for the title in 1990 and their battle came to a head in the penultimate race of the season, when Senna drove Prost off the track at turn one to secure his second world title.

Senna won the title again in 1991 but found his McLaren unreliable and difficult to handle the following year and he finished fourth. Although his contract at McLaren had ended, Senna agreed to stay with the team in 1993 on a race-by-race basis and went on to finish second to Prost.

Senna moved to Williams in 1994 and although his new car was quick, it was difficult to drive. He secured pole in the first two races of the season but failed to finish the races. The third race was at Imola, where Senna led Michael Schumacher after an early safety car period. After the restart he pushed hard and as he took Tamburello corner on the second lap, his car left the racing line and hit a concrete wall, resulting in the moment that shocked the world, as well as Formula 1.

The Day Senna Died will be broadcast on BBC Radio 5 live at 19:30 BST tonight.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted an "impossible" save by Thibaut Courtois, the Chelsea goalkeeper on loan at Atletico Madrid, had been critical as his team were well beaten in last night's Champions League semi-final.

The game was level on aggregate when Courtois dived to his left to turn aside a 53rd-minute header from John Terry at full stretch.

Mourinho told the Guardian:, external "From that moment the game was controlled by Atletico in a very mature way. They had complete control. They had the feeling the game was in their hands, and after that they were very solid, very mature, a real team. I knew that before, and I congratulate them now."

Oscar wants to help in Chelsea's title push but is wary of making worse a hip injury that could force him to miss the World Cup.

The 22-year-old has not played in the Blues' past three matches, although he was on the bench for both legs of the Champions League semi-final with Atletico Madrid.

"I'm not playing because I felt a pain due to an injury to the abductor," Oscar told Globo Sport. "In the last game against Liverpool I was not called on.

"Yes, I warmed up against Atletico but Mourinho knew that I could hardly play. Maybe I will not play the next game because I could get a more serious abductor injury and he knows it. I have to take care for the World Cup."

Tracy Edwards:, external Yes Mourinho is still the special one! He's still achieved more than other managers getting Chelsea as far as they have in every competition on his first season back, with players he's never coached before. Unlike other managers, not only is he the boss but he also nurtures his players. I've always had the same respect for him, when he's managed other teams. Real Madrid will win the final, as those players have also been coached and nurtured by Mourinho!!

Ahmed Ebrahim:, external "Special one" in what? Two consecutive seasons without a trophy while managing the most expensive squads in the world... You cannot really convince me he is "special one".

Chris Justice Lungu:, external The battle was lost in Spain, playing a scoreless draw put Chelsea at risk and that was witnessed yesterday. He no longer the special one, let him change his tactics, We are no longer in 19th century to be parking the bus like that.

Is Mourinho still the special one? Or is his reputation diminishing? Let us know on #bbcsportsday, text 81111 (UK users only) or post on BBC Sport Facebook.
