Aly Sherif:, external I still think Jose is one of the best managers around - his trophy haul speaks for itself. But last night the best team won, no doubt about it.

Gary Woolton:, external Let me see, five Champions League semi-finals in five years? Seems to me that is not that bad an achievement. Especially when he has no defenders, no attackers and a couple of good midfielders at Chelsea, I think he has overachieved.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, speaking about the influence Ayrton Senna had on his own career: "My family realised I was interested in his driving so they encouraged me and bought me the books that told me more about Senna the man, and into my early teens I would go and get more from the library.

"I really came to understand his character and appreciate his amazing approach to racing. I knew that he started racing when he was a boy in Brazil, and that like me he'd been helped into karting by his dad. He moved to England when he was around 20 to pursue his dream, and I was impressed by that dedication.

"But it was the fact that Senna was just an out-and-out racer that was most important to me. I can really identify with that. It's exactly how I feel I am. That's why I feel I have had that connection with him since I was a kid."

Paula Senna, niece of Ayrton Senna, has joined family members and fans to mark the 20th anniversary of the deaths of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger at Imola racetrack today.

"It's so emotional for us," she says. "It's a long time and still the love from the people is very alive and this is very special for me because we are the family but it seems like Ayrton is living inside people's hearts, so it's beautiful."

David C: Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger dying was tragic, but without Roland's death Senna might not have spoken so fervently in favour of better safety, and his own death gave those words weight. Many more than two drivers would have died without those changes. So mourn for what we lost, but be glad for what we gained.

Butyouhaveheardofme: So much of today's driving is done from the pit wall not from the drivers seat, in the days of Senna and before drivers made all the 'calls' and sometimes got it wrong like running out of fuel at Club Corner to be picked-up by Nigel Mansell...and I was there, great memories.

Asif Kapadia, director of the 2010 film Senna, says he came to admire a man who could be both caring and brutal when researching the life and career of Ayrton Senna.

He tells BBC Asian Network: "I studied the man, saw thousands of hours of footage of him and you kind of get to know someone seeing them so much. You could see on one side the intensity of him as a racer and how driven he was, and then on the other side you saw the humour of the man, the warmth of the man. He could be really caring but also, when he wanted to be, he could be brutal.

"Just making a film about Formula 1, I am not sure if that would be something that would engage. I am interested in people and characters; what was interesting here is that Ayrton was someone special no matter what he did. That was the thing that kicked for me."

More from Fulham manager Felix Magath: "I have never been relegated; I am a little afraid of that situation and don't need to know how it feels. I'm always nervous - without being nervous you can't be 100%. I'm always nervous.

"I have no doubt about my future - I will remain here. I'm here to build a new team."

Hannah on text: Mourinho comes back to Chelsea, a team in transition, and gets them to the CL semi-finals, fighting for the title, and doesn't lose a single game to the other top four in the league. Of course he's still the Special One. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional.

Dave from Petersfield: Waiting for all the Chelsea haters to gloat today but we gave our all against an excellent side who deserved to go through. Think supporters of Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and Tottenham would have given much to have been in the semi-finals of the Champions League last night. Great effort!

Steve Huish from Surbiton: Nothing has been more poignant than Madrid's emphatic win over Chelsea. Madrid played Mourinho like a grand piano, totally out playing him by literally his own game. The beautiful game was the winner........ playing football which is essentially what the game is about! Well done Madrid you did your talking on the pitch.

The KNVB (Dutch FA) delays announcing its squad for a 10-day training camp in Hoenderloo until Monday. It was scheduled to be announced on Friday.

It denies, however, that this is due to any imminent announcement about manager - and Manchester United target - Louis van Gaal and says that it will only become clear this weekend which players are unavailable because of play-off commitments.
