Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino hopes to remain in charge despite the Spanish champion facing its first season without a major trophy in seven years.

The Argentine coach is once again countering reports that he will be fired, with Celta Vigo coach and former Barcelona player Luis Enrique the latest favourite for the position.

    League Two

The promotion places have been decided in League Two but not the title race. Chesterfield lead the division over second-placed Rochdale by a +8 goal difference. Scunthorpe are a point behind the pair on 80. Victory for the Spireites at home to Fleetwood should be enough, unless Rochdale run riot at Newport.

So who drops out of the League?

Torquay are down, while Wycombe, who have 47 points, occupy the other relegation spot and are three points shy of Northampton in 22nd and Bristol Rovers in 21st - they both just need to avoid defeat.

Follow all the action on the final day of the Football League in a special live text commentary on the BBC Sport website from 11:00 BST on Saturday.

Rangers' former commercial director Imran Ahmad is to go back to court on Tuesday as he seeks to have more than £500,000 frozen in the club's account.

In February, Lord Tyre disagreed with Ahmad's claim that Rangers were trading while insolvent.

Now, with doubts over season ticket sales, Ahmad is concerned about Rangers' ability to pay out should he win his ongoing legal battle with them. The two parties are in dispute over his claim for unpaid bonuses.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini admits the mood among his players has lifted since they regained the initiative in the title race last week.

City's fate is back in their own hands after Liverpool slipped up against Chelsea last Sunday.

"After we lost against Liverpool, maybe the mood wasn't the same. That's maybe why we didn't play so well against Sunderland," said the Chilean. "At the moment the motivation is very high, now it is important that the performance also must be high."

Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill is urging his side to bounce back from their Harlequins loss by beating Sale on Saturday and sealing a spot in the Aviva Premiership play-offs.

A bonus-point victory will confirm Tigers' place in the semi-finals while a win of any kind would be enough if fifth-placed Quins fail to beat Exeter Chiefs on Sunday.

"Sale Sharks have been doing well and are also potentially still looking at the top four in the table," Cockerill told the official club website. , external"It's going to be a tight battle for those places with just two rounds to play."

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Cardiff City escaping the threat of Premier League relegation would be "a bigger miracle" than Manchester United winning the 1999 Champions League.

Teddy Sheringham and Solskjaer scored in injury time as United famously beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in Barcelona. Cardiff are bottom of the league ahead of Saturday's trip to Newcastle.

"If we stay up it would definitely be a bigger miracle than Barcelona in 1999," says Solskjaer. "That night it was possible, and in football anything is possible."

BBC Sport's chief sports writer Tom Fordyce has looked at the best way to cope with 'squeaky bum' time.

"For players, coaches and impotent supporters, it is the best and worst of times. The title is within reach, but it is not yet yours. A single slip can scupper a season. A moment of inspiration can salvage it when all seems lost," says Fordyce.

"How to see off sleepless nights? How to cope when every time you leave your house or look at Twitter you see nothing but giddy fans and title talk?"

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he has not had to lift Steven Gerrard's spirits after the midfielder's slip led to Chelsea's opener last Sunday.

"Obviously it was a big game," says Rodgers. "Steven played really, really well, but he was just unfortunate to make the slip and Demba Ba went through and finished really well.

"Steven is a guy who has picked himself up over many years after disappointments. And he will do it again. He's a real, real good man. I think it's been a wee bit over-analysed as well - the guy slipped, which can happen to anyone. Unfortunately it led to the goal. It happens and we move on."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says the club will check on the fitness of striker Daniel Sturridge over the next two days before deciding whether he will play against Crystal Palace on Monday.

Sturridge picked up a hamstring injury in the win against Manchester City on 13 April.

"We'll see over the next 48 hours," says Rodgers. "He's certainly in a much better place. He's worked tirelessly this week with the medical team. He re-joins the group and we'll see how he is come Monday."

Striker Luuk de Jong returns to the Newcastle squad for Saturday's Premier League clash with Cardiff.

The on-loan Dutchman missed the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on Monday with an ankle injury, but is available once again, although fellow frontman Papiss Cisse (knee) is out.

Midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa is fit, but is unlikely to be included once again with manager Alan Pardew having suggested he is not currently worth a place in the squad, while utility man Ryan Taylor is back in training.
