    Pep Guardiola says he will not change his ways because of one defeat and has challenged Bayern Munich to back him in wake of the German side's Champions League exit at the expense of Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

    The reigning European champions lost 4-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate.

    Guardiola said in the Guardian:, external "The club must decide if the coach is the right one for the club. I won't change my opinion about the club and the people who work here after one defeat. I feel like a part of the club and will do my best with my ideas until the last day. If we lose, I have the risk. It's a big club, you always have to win. If it doesn't happen, maybe the club decides differently."

    Yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death in the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola, and BBC Radio 5 live sport recounted the day he died with those closest to the Brazilian, both on and off the track, with a special programme - The Day Senna Died.

    Rangers manager Ally McCoist and Sir Alex Ferguson were among 1,000 mourners who attended a funeral service for football legend Sandy Jardine today.

    The former Rangers, Hearts and Scotland defender died last week, aged 65, following a battle with cancer. He was part of Rangers European Cup Winners' Cup-winning team of 1972 and played 38 times for his country.

    The funeral service was held at Mortonhall Crematorium in Edinburgh, the city where Jardine was born. Former Rangers player, manager and director John Greig was one of the coffin-bearers.

    Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna is doubtful for Sunday's Premier League game against West Brom because of a knee problem but defender Kieran Gibbs (hamstring) is closing in on a return to full training.

    Midfielder Abou Diaby (groin) is still not match fit, while Jack Wilshere (foot), Serge Gnabry and Theo Walcott (both knee) are all out.

    Olympic 100m silver medallist Yohan Blake has not competed on these shores since London 2012, but this summer he is set to race at least twice in Britain.

    The Jamaican will first appear at the Great City Games in Manchester on 17 May, where he will attempt to break Usain Bolt's 150m world best. World Indoor 60m champion Richard Kilty will also race in the streets of Manchester over 60m.

    Blake is also competing at July's Glasgow Grand Prix in Hampden Park.

    Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino says striker Rickie Lambert is doubtful for this weekend's Premier League game against Swansea.

    Lambert has a thigh injury and is battling to be fit, as is Morgan Schneiderlin, who has a thigh issue.

    "We have doubts over Rickie Lambert," he says. "We'll assess him tomorrow. Maybe it's better for him to come off the bench."

    The former United midfielder has forged a close working relationship with reserves coach Warren Joyce this season, with Butt acting as his assistant for the under-21 side and the Mails says Joyce is keen for the club to maintain that relationship next season.

    Salford announce the signing of New Zealand Warriors full-back Kevin Locke on a three-year contract.

    The Red Devils' ambitious owner Marwan Koukash hailed the signing as evidence of his determination to transform the fortunes of last year's Super League wooden spoonists.

    "Kevin Locke is one of the most exciting talents in the game," Koukash says. "Not only that but we have taken him from the NRL - something people kept telling me couldn't be done."

    Most England football fans think of the World Cup victory in 1966 as the greatest achievement in English football history. But in a small corner of County Durham, they will tell you something different.

    In 1909, West Auckland Football Club of the Northern League, was invited to compete for the prestigious Sir Thomas Lipton trophy in Turin, considered by many to be a precursor to today's World Cup and they went on to win the tournament.

    Juventus coach Antonio Conte says English official Mark Clattenburg was not good enough to referee their Europa League semi-final against Benfica.

    Clattenburg handled Thursday's second leg, in which Benfica earned a 0-0 draw to eliminate the Italian leaders.

    "I didn't appreciate either the attitude of our opponents or the referee," says Conte. "Uefa should show us more respect by sending a referee of the required standard."

    Arsene Wenger believes Uefa needs to show it means business when the sanctions are confirmed against Manchester City and Paris St-Germain for breaching financial fair play rules.

    Uefa is understood to have made a settlement offer to the clubs that they will have a limit placed on the total wage bill for next season's Champions League squad.

    The final sanctions are due to be confirmed next week and Arsenal manager Wenger said: "There are rules to apply for the financial fair play. I want to see that respected, if that is not respected, then the financial fair play will have problems to be respected in the future because everyone will just not consider it at all."

    More than 100,000 extra tickets across all sports at the Commonwealth Games are to be put on general sale.

    About 2.3m applications were made for the initial one million tickets that were released last year. Organisers said the finalising of venue layouts and seating plans at Glasgow 2014 has allowed them to find the extra tickets.

    Seats for all 17 sports and the opening and closing ceremonies will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis from 10am on Monday 12 May.

    The Premier League may be heading towards an exciting conclusion but there is also plenty to play for across the Football League and in Scotland.

    First up, in the Championship, former Premier League side Birmingham are in real danger of dropping into League One. They are in the relegation places, with Barnsley and Yeovil already relegated, and one point from safety. They take on Bolton, where a draw could see them safe, depending on relegation rival Doncaster's result against champions Leicester. Millwall and Blackpool are also in danger.

    Meanwhile, Reading, Brighton and Blackburn will battle for the final play-off place. They play Burnley, Nottingham Forest and Wigan respectively.

    Olympic triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee has given up on his hopes of running the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games this summer.

    The 26-year-old announced, after winning his gold at London 2012, that he was thinking of trying to double up in Glasgow.

    But injury struggles over the winter mean he will instead concentrate on the triathlon at the Games, as well as trying to win a third world triathlon title.
