Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been answering questions on homophobia in football on the club website., external

Here are some of the questions and answers:

The first Premier League footballer who comes out will attract huge media interest?

Wenger: Because of that media interest, maybe no one will come out. You have to consider now that, in a society where you have gay marriage, why should people not come out? For me, it is not a problem because what is important is how a player behaves, how much he loves football and how much he respects his partners. That's what the game is about.

John Amaechi recently declared the sport "toxic" for gay people. What are your thoughts on that?

Wenger: Football in itself is not toxic to anybody. The attitude from some people around the game can be toxic, yes, but football in itself is just enjoyment and a spectacle that you love to watch. When the spectacle is a high level, it becomes art and art is open to everybody. The mentality of some extreme people around the game can be toxic and the job of those who have responsibility for our game is to fight against that.

Deschamps said: "We are not ready yet but there is a collective desire. We cannot be at 100 percent now. The most important thing is to give everything the day of the match. We still have two weeks to prepare. Let's not forget that our goal is 15 June 15 [against Honduras]."
