    Canada's women have been taking a lunchtime stroll in France ahead of their Rugby World Cup meeting with Samoa later.

    Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria has instructed his agent to tie up a move to Paris St-Germain, dashing Manchester United's hopes of signing him.

    The Argentina international, 26, was reportedly a key target for United, but AS reports, external his agent Jorge Mendes met Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for lunch on Monday and a move to PSG will soon follow.

    Di Maria will earn £130,000 a week.

    India write to the International Cricket Council to express their disappointment after England's James Anderson was found not guilty of a breach of conduct.

    Anderson, 32, was cleared of abusing and pushing India's Ravindra Jadeja during the first Test at Trent Bridge.

    Only ICC chief executive Dave Richardson can appeal against the verdict but Sanjay Patel, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has denied the tourists have asked him to do so.

    A German court agrees to end the bribery trial of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone in exchange for a $100m (£60m) payment from him.

    Earlier today, German prosecutors accepted the offer - which was based on an existing provision in German law - from the 83-year-old billionaire who dominates motor racing.

    He went on trial in April, accused of paying a German banker 33m euros (£26m; $44m) to ensure that a company he favoured could buy a stake in F1. He denies any wrongdoing.

    The report says the two clubs are in contact about a potential loan deal for the Belgium international.

    Uefa's disciplinary panel takes action against three clubs following racist incidents during the qualifying rounds for this season's Champions League.

    Steaua Bucharest, Debrecen and Maribor have been given partial stadium bans, while FC Chikhura Sachkhere have received the same punishment for an incident in Europa League qualifying.

    "The fight against racism is a high priority for Uefa," says a statement on Uefa's website.

    More from Spanish midfielder Xavi on his international retirement: "I was going to retire after Euro 2012 but I was persuaded to stay on and go to Brazil, which was of course a huge disappointment for everyone and myself individually.

    "After Euro 2012, it was generally understood I was going to be leaving after Brazil 2014. I hope Vicente Del Bosque stays as manager of Spain because I don't think there is a better man for the job.

    "I want to thank everyone involved in that team for the way they treated me and the respect, and I could not wish for a better time as an international."
