    The Hull Daily Mail reports, external that speculation is mounting over the future of chairman Assem Allam, who is thought to be a frustrated figure since the FA rejected his bid to rename the club Hull Tigers in April.

    The paper says: "Although no-one at the Tigers was available for comment yesterday, more clarity on the situation is expected inside the next 48 hours as the club are preparing to make an official announcement - the exact subject of which is being guarded closely."

    The NBL - created and run by Badminton England - begins on 6 October and will feature six franchise teams.

    Birmingham Lions, Team Derby, Loughborough Sport, MK Badminton, University of Nottingham Sport Badminton and Surrey Smashers will face each other in monthly match nights which will be broadcast across 16 countries.

    Olympic silver medallist and former world number one Gail Emms will line up for Team Derby.

    Phil Jones is expected to be assessed by Manchester United's medical team later to discover the extent of the injury, which resulted in him being substituted early in England's 2-0 win over Switzerland.

    Jones limped off in the 77th minute of the European Championship qualifier in Basel with what appeared to be a hamstring problem.

    United face Queen's Park Rangers in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday.

    "It's obviously not nice, but what can I say?" said Rosberg. "I hope that with time they forgive and forget. That would be great. I have apologised - I can't really do anything more than that."

    Saeed Ajmal's action has been analysed by the ICC, which concluded "all his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees" by which the arm is allowed to bend.

    The final part of Jack Wilshere's interview with 5 live and he says of his new Arsenal team-mate Danny Welbeck: "I said that he doesn't get enough credit for his technical ability and he wants to play up top in that number nine position because when he gets in front of goal he's dangerous and he showed that tonight."

    Regarding his new role at the base of the diamond formation, he said: "We play a different system at Arsenal. Unless we adopt that system I'm not sure.

    "We have players who play in that position. We have got [Mathieu] Flamini and [Mikel] Arteta, but if they want me to play there I can play there as well."

    Saeed Ajmal is the latest in a line of bowlers to face an ICC suspension for an illegal action.

    Fellow countrymen Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi, Riaz Afridi and Shoaib Malik have all been reported in the past.

    In July, Sri Lanka's Sachitra Senanayake and New Zealand's Kane Williamson were also reported and subsequently banned until remedial work on their actions was completed.

    Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal has blamed his illegal action on a "not usual" elbow and has vowed to return in time for the World Cup in February.

    Speaking to reporters in Faisalabad, he said: "My elbow is not usual so that's why it seems that I bend it more than the normal 15 degrees allowed.

    "We will go into appeal soon. I will be in action in the World Cup next year - that's my resolve."
