    The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirms it will appeal against Saeed Ajmal's suspension for an illegal bowling action.

    A PCB spokesman said: "It's a big jolt for us. It's not easy to replace a player like Ajmal who is a match-winner. We will appeal against the ICC decision."

    More from Graham Poll on 5 live Breakfast this morning after he was asked about TV replays allowing coaches to challenge a referee's decision possibly being trialled next year.

    He says: "As a referee, I've known when I have made a mistake. I've given a penalty and, as soon as I have given it, the reaction of the players and almost the feel you get from the crowd of disbelief you go 'I think I have made a mistake there'.

    "You can't change it because you have got nothing to refer to. In your own heart you think 'let me have a look'.

    "There was the Thierry Henry handball in the France game against the Republic of Ireland where the referee knew something was wrong but didn't have the opportunity to object. In that situation the managers would have put their objection in, it would have been reviewed and the decision would have been changed so that would work."

    Former Premier League referee Graham Poll was a guest of 5 live Breakfast on the subject of TV replays allowing coaches to challenge a referee's decision possibly being trialled next year.

    He said: "It's a great idea. Everyone thinks that technology can help the beleaguered referees. The game has speeded up. Players are more crafty and deceitful than they have ever been. Unfortunately, that is a fact of life and, therefore, referees do need help.

    "Everyone who watches a game on the television knows within seconds when a clear error has been made and the one guy that doesn't is the referee and that isn't fair."

    Arsenal's Jack Wilshere was deployed at the base of England's diamond formation and he told 5 live after the win in Switzerland: "We didn't surprise ourselves. A few people said it would be a big test - and it was - but we showed what we can do. We have got great players here and we believe in ourselves.

    "They will still pick the negatives from it and there were some points we have to work on.

    "It's the first time we have played that formation. We adapted to it so well. The Liverpool players are used to playing it and they really helped with that tonight. You could see they are comfortable with it and we will get better in that and take that into the next game and hopefully get another result."

    That win for Cilic means that British number one Andy Murray will slip out of the world's top 10 for the first time since 2008.

    Murray also drops to 11th place in the Race to London - with a significant number of points to make up on Tomas Berdych, who currently occupies the final qualifying position for the World Tour Finals.

    Murray is due to play three more events before November's event and may need to reach the final of either the Shanghai or Paris Masters to have a chance of qualifying.

    More on the big story from the cricket world this morning. Saeed Ajmal was reported for a suspect action after the first Test match against Sri Lanka in Galle last month.

    The analysis was performed on 25 August by the ICC's accredited team of human movement specialists using the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

    Ajmal can apply for a re-assessment after he has modified his bowling action.
