John, via text: Tonight's match could be a defining moment for Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers' season. They are in awful form at the minute and are playing with zero confidence. A result at the Bernabeu tonight would ignite their season, but a defeat would further compound their dreadful run of form. If they concede early it could be curtains for Liverpool and Real Madrid could run up a cricket score given their embarrassment of attacking riches.

After promotion from the Championship last season, Dyche's side are yet to win this term and were also knocked out of the League Cup by Sheffield Wednesday.

"The win will come. It's when and how many you get after that is the thing," Dyche told BBC Radio Lancashire. "There seems to be this mythical talk of 'if you get that one win'. The fact is, if you get one, you need another, then you need another and another and another."

  18. Warburton rises to tough trainingpublished at 13:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2014

Wales captain Sam Warburton on his team's high-intensity training ahead of Saturday's Test against Australia: "It has been tough preparation - it has genuinely been the hardest week we've had. We knew we had to change something going into playing these Southern Hemisphere sides.

"We know the speed of running that Australia play at and we have been recovering the same metres in training. We know that the first 20 minutes is where historically we have been off the pace, but we have covered those yards in training. Psychologically that has been a big boost.

"There are no guarantees but if we have a good start on Saturday then it is the management and staff who deserve a big pat on the back."

  19. Webb in-form half-back - Howleypublished at 13:12 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2014

Howley on selecting Rhys Webb at scrum-half ahead of Mike Phillips: "It's always tight when you've a world-class player who has been a key player in our team and you have a player who is the in-form half-back in Wales and has been playing in a very fluid combination with Dan (Biggar).

"The question for Rhys now is his ability to step up against a southern hemisphere side, the speed of his game and the accuracy of his kicking game.

"We've got a lot of talent in scrum-half and when you have someone who is a world-class player who can come off the bench, that puts us in a really good position. The strength and depth we've got will be one of the key parts of the game on Saturday."

  20. Wales news conferencepublished at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 4 November 2014

Wales assistant Rob Howley on wing George North's switch to the centres: "We have always been comfortable with George going to centre and said consistently that over the last two years. if it was needed through injuries.

"So when we lost Scott Williams and Jonathan Davies we had to look at our strength in depth. I think George's best position is wing but he is comfortable in the centres with his speed and guile.

"Scott and Jonathan were close to being fit but with the speed of the game against these Southern Hemisphere sides you have to be 100% in those outside channels. The common sense approach was that both need to be 100% when selected and could be ready for the Fiji game."
