    West Brom boss Tony Pulis has brought in Paul Jewell and David Kemp as his joint-assistant head coaches.

    "I don't know what I've done to suffer Kempy again but I suppose I will have to put up with him!" joked Pulis.

    "But the truth is that we have a working relationship which I value very highly - he knows what I want without even having to ask these days.

    "Jewely is someone I have known for a long time. We got to know each other on coaching courses as well as in opposition - he has massive experience and when I thought about what I wanted for this post, he fitted the bill perfectly."

    The club are also in talks to appoint a new goalkeeping coach, which they hope to announce later this week.

    Former Cambridge and Manchester United Dion Dublin has been speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire this morning about his old clubs being drawn together in round four of the FA Cup.

    "Manchester United fans will expect to get through and rightly so, but stranger things have happened at the Abbey. I've been part of sides that have beaten some big teams there, so the Cambridge boys have a chance.

    "Man Utd have enough fans, enough money and enough trophies in the cabinet so I'm supporting the super U's - although I realised I'm in America when the game takes place!

    "Hopefully Cambridge United can get a draw. They've just got to enjoy this game go into the game with respect but with no fear and try to make history, but they need to remain focused and get some winning momentum in the league ahead of that tie."

    Meanwhile, South Africa batsman Alviro Petersen has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 34, having scored 2,093 runs at an average of 34 in his 36 Tests since his debut in 2010.

    "I intend playing County and Franchise cricket for the next three years and also concentrating on my Foundation and my cricket school," said Petersen, who also played 21 one-day internationals, in which he scored 504 runs and took seven wickets.

    South Africa retained the iconic Test Championship mace and with it a cash award of $500,000 following their 2-0 series win over the West Indies in Cape Town on Tuesday.

    The victory margin means irrespective of how both the fourth Test between Australia and India, and the second Test between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, pan out, South Africa cannot be removed from the top Test pedestal at the 1 April annual cut-off date.

    Leyton Orient have signed midfielder Josh Wright after his contract with Millwall was cancelled by the Championship club.

    The 25-year-old, the brother of reality TV personality Mark Wright, has already made 12 loan appearances for the O's this term and has now agreed a deal to the end of the season.

    West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has suggested rival clubs may have broken transfer rules by enticing defender Winston Reid to join them.

    Reid's contract expires at the end of June and Allardyce says it is "highly unlikely" he will extend his stay.

    With under six months of his contract remaining, Reid, 26, is only allowed to speak to foreign clubs but Allardyce believes a deal may have been done, despite the player only being allowed to speak to interested parties since 31 December.

    "You hear rumours. But can we prove it?" said Allardyce.

    "If you can prove that clubs have broken the rules, then they are in serious trouble aren't they? But you can't prove it these days. You hear rumours, this, that and the other.

    "It might have nothing to do with the two clubs directly, it could be between two agents, so how can you relate that to the football clubs? You can't, so it can all get done that way."

    The Swiss-based CIES Football Observatory, external has compiled a list of the current market value of the world's leading players.

    The Daily Mail, external have done their sums based on the statistics and report that Barcelona star Lionel Messi would cost a whopping £172m should he be signed this month, £68m more than his Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

    The top 10 features six Premier League players - Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas of Chelsea, Sergio Aguero of Manchester City, Raheem Sterling of Liverpool and Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal.

    Everton and England Ladies goalkeeper Rachel Brown-Finnis has announced her retirement from football.

    Since joining Everton in 2003, Brown-Finnis helped the Blues to lift the FA Women's Cup and finish runners-up in the women's top-flight five times.

    "It is something that I have been considering over the past 18 months or so and it is simply down to the amount of pain I suffer with my knee and back over the course of a season," she explained.

    Everton boss Roberto Martinez is coming under increasing pressure with his side having lost their last four matches. The Toffees host West Ham in their FA Cup third round tie tonight and the Spaniard has urged fans to keep the faith.

    "The message to the fans is very clear - we are all together and when we face adversity we need to react in the proper way," he says.

    South Africa have beaten West Indies by eight wickets on the final day of the third and final Test in Cape Town and win the series 2-0.

    They resumed on 9-1 this morning in search of 124 for victory and lost only Faf du Plessis, with opener Dean Elgar [pictured reaching this third Test half century] unbeaten on 60 and skipper Hashim Amla 38 not out.

    The teams play three Twenty20 internationals and a five-match one-day series this month.

    Australia centurion David Warner admitted he was highly emotional during the fourth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, where Phillip Hughes was struck by a ball in November that claimed his life two days later.

    A plaque dedicated to Hughes was unveiled at the ground and Warner, who was fielding when Hughes was hit, kissed the pitch when he reached 63, the score Hughes was on when the tragedy occurred.

    "I had a tear in my eye this morning when I walked out to warm up and I saw Greg up in the stands and Megs (Hughes' father and sister) and it's fantastic for them to be here," Warner said.

    "The hurt and the pain that they've gone through and how much it would have hurt them to come back today - it's courageous for them to be here. I had a minute when I came back off before we went onto the field of play and I had my head in a towel and I had to dig deep."
