    The players are part of a 14-woman England Sevens squad named for the second round of the Sevens World Series in Sao Paulo on 7-8 February.

    The British Lionhearts have named four Commonwealth Games medallists to face the Morocco Atlas Lions in the World Series of Boxing in Casablanca on Friday.

    It is the same team that defeated the China Dragons 3-2 in the opening match of the season and includes Antony Fowler (middleweight), Qais Ashfaq (bantamweight), Sam Maxwell (light-welterweight) and Ashley Williams (light-flyweight) along with Romanian heavyweight, Ionut-Mirel Jitaru.

    In 1913, American athlete Jim Thorpe was stripped of his pentathlon and decathlon gold medals from the 1912 Stockholm Olympics after it was discovered he had been paid for playing baseball a couple of years earlier.

    Northampton Town have signed Portsmouth midfielder Ricky Holmes, 27, on a free transfer after a loan spell at Sixfields.

    He has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract, and the Cobblers have also brought in former Oxford left-back Tom Newey, 32, on a deal to the end of the season.

    Chelsea are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge but in November 2011, Maxi Rodriguez and Martin Kelly both scored in a five-minute spell after the break as Kenny Dalglish's Reds recorded a 2-0 victory in the League Cup quarter-finals, and went on to lift the trophy that season, beating Cardiff on penalties in the final.

    One of the great meetings of recent vintage between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge came in the Champions League in April 2009 when neither John Terry or Steven Gerrard featured and it finished 4-4 on the night, Chelsea advancing to the semi-finals 7-5 on aggregate.

    Liverpool led 2-0 at half-time but after going 3-2 behind, two goals in as many minutes from Lucas and Dirk Kuyt put them 4-3 ahead before Frank Lampard struck in the final minute with his second goal.

    Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has told French website Foot Mercato that he wants to play for "a very big club" as speculation continues over his future.

    Paris St-Germain have been linked with the France international, who described Arsenal as "the club of my heart" in early January.

    "I want to stay here and grow at one of the biggest clubs in England," Sissoko said. "If it happens, it happens. I am at Newcastle and I will continue to work until one day I have the chance to play at a very big club."

    Scotland international Ryan Wilson has been found guilty of punching a fellow player in a fast food shop in Glasgow while dressed as Batman.

    The Glasgow Warriors player hit Glasgow Hawks captain Ally Maclay - who was dressed as Tweedledee - after a Halloween night out in October 2013.

    The court heard that a minion, a red crayon and others in fancy dress were nearby as the incident unfolded.

    We've got some reaction to the news that Stoke City's Bojan Krkic will miss the remainder of the season with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee.

    Manager Mark Hughes said: "It's bitterly disappointing for the club but even more so for Bojan himself as he was making such a big impact on the Premier League and clearly enjoying his football. We wish him a speedy recovery."

    The Spanish forward had scored the opening goal in the 4-1 FA Cup win Rochdale on Monday but limped off just after the half hour.
