  8. The view from Africapublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett: Is the Africa Cup of Nations preventing more deals being done on deadline day? Several players recently linked with moves to English football are still on international duty in Equatorial Guinea.

For example Ghana's Andre Ayew is out of contract at Marseille in the summer and had unsuccessful talks with several Premier League clubs in August.

But the logistics of organising medicals and paperwork in Equatorial Guinea means it's more likely he'll make a move at the end of the season.

But don't rule it out completely because over the weekend AS Roma signed Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow and he's in Malabo with the Ivory Coast squad.

  9. Nine hours to gopublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

It is easy to tell you what has happened so far - not a lot. Robert Huth has joined Leicester on loan from Stoke, but we await our first permanent Premier League signing of this deadline day.

There is plenty in the pipeline, but still no confirmation of Juan Cuadrado's £23.3m transfer from Italian club Fiorentina to Chelsea. The Blues are waiting for Andre Schurrle's switch to Wolfsburg to go through before completing the deal for the Colombian.

In the meantime, I'll keep you updated on what Yakubu is up to at Reading... I expect he has just finished his lunch.

  12. What's your value in the transfer market?published at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Simon Black, High Halden, Kent: I am a six foot one inch tall attacking player, completely two-footed and with bags of pace (a former 10.4 sec 100m sprinter) and an excellent long and short passing game. If I was younger than my 46 years I would be worth £30 million. However my 14-year-old son is six foot two inches tall with two good feet..

  16. Transfer window a "cattle market" - Monkpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    cattleImage source, Getty Images

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has likened the January transfer window to a cattle market.

The Swans have recruited four players during January and Monk has not ruled out further signings before the window closes on Monday at 23:00 GMT.

Monk is not anticipating a busy day and said transfers are now in chairman Huw Jenkins' hands.

"It can be a bit ridiculous at times. The summer [transfer window] is a lot easier than this one," Monk said. "[It's] a cattle market and everyone's selling all their cows and they're overpricing the cows - some of them are bad. If the valuations are wrong, which they normally are in this window, you can't do the deal."

  17. West Ham departurespublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    West Ham

Two young West Ham wingers who featured in the club's 5-0 FA Cup defeat by Nottingham Forest last year have left the club after their contracts were terminated by mutual consent.

Blair Turgott, 20, has joined Coventry City on loan until the end of the season. The England Under-19 international has previously spent loan spells at Bradford, Colchester United, Rotherham United and Dagenham and Redbridge.

Matthias Fanimo - who was on loan at Tranmere earlier in the season - has also departed.

The 21-year-old represented England at Under-16, 17 and 18 level and was described as one of the Premier League's quickest players last year after matching Manchester United's Antonio Valencia and outpacing Arsenal's Theo Walcott in tests carried out using GPS tracking technology.

Afternoon all - er, it's a bit quiet, isn't it?

So far we have seen more tumbleweed than top-flight transfers on this deadline day but this is where things start to get interesting, right?

A permanent signing by any Premier League club has got to be coming soon... I hope.

By the way the vote is now closed and we will publish the results soon. Cheerio.
