BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Sunderland manager Gus Poyet remains keen on Stoke City's USA defender Geoff Cameron.

"However, as Cameron has 18 months remaining on his contract, any deal for the 29-year-old is far more likely in the summer."

  2. What's your value in the market?published at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Pete Roo: My stats in Fifa 15 are aged 25, overall 87. Main strengths being vision, short passing and long shots. Must be worth a gamble

Chris Hayward: I played in goal as a kid and somehow managed to be joint top scorer one season with 3 goals by going up for corners! £7.5m?

It is seven years since Benjani wrote his way into deadline day folklore. Flying from Portsmouth to Manchester to finalise a move to City, the Zimbabwe striker reportedly fell asleep in the airport, missing two planes and nearly ruining his chances of a move. The move did eventually go through although City tried to pull out of the deal, expressing concern about a knee injury Benjani had surgery on 18 months earlier.

  5. DONE DEALpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Exeter City have signed former Morecambe midfielder Tom McCready, 23, on a contract until the end of the season. McReady, who came through Everton's youth system, played for the Shrimps for nothing when he signed last summer after a scholarship in the USA with Limestone College.

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Craig, Greenwich: 5'9", 44 years old, not quick, never was. Good passer, nasty in the tackle. Celtic preferably, no sum exists that takes me to Rangers!

Wagner, Coventry: Experienced centre half, 31 years young. Guaranteed goals at both ends with a history of 'exceptional' OGs and a turn of pace which has been described as 'seeing milk turn quicker' Preferred destination would be Utd and would not command a fee as i am currently without a club.

  7. Seven hours to gopublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Let's look on the bright side: I suppose the complete lack of permanent Premier League signings so far today means we are due a few later. I hope so.

As things stand, Robert Huth's loan from Stoke to Leicester is the only top-flight deal to go through.

  8. Fletcher staying put?published at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Man Utd

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "If Darren Fletcher is going to leave Manchester United to join anyone this transfer window, it looks certain to be West Brom.

"However the Scotland midfielder has been training at Carrington this afternoon and as the clock ticks down, a deal looks less likely.

    "Still time though."

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Holly, Manchester: 5'10" goalkeeper, good reflexes, great at post-match soundbites and social media quips. Will sign for £50,000 a YEAR which is a bargain for any club while still leaving me on twice what even the top current England ladies players get.

Brian, Haworth: I am a 5 feet 9 tall, clinically obese 51 year old from Bradford. I have never played football even for a pub team due to my shocking co-ordination and lifelong lack of fitness. More than willing to join Leeds United for nothing as long as they promise to play me in every game.

It is safe to sat there is still not a lot happening in terms of incoming players to Premier League clubs but the update on Andre Schurrle (at 15:47) is good news for Chelsea because they are waiting for that move to go through before finalising Juan Cuadrado's £23.3m transfer from Italian club Fiorentina.

"Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert has been attracting plenty of interest during the transfer window but he will be staying at Anfield.

"Aston Villa were the latest club to show an interest in the 32-year-old England international, while Hull City and Crystal Palace would also have been keen to sign the player who joined his boyhood club from Southampton in the summer.

"Unless there are any very late developments it remains very unlikely there will be any movement in or out at Anfield."

    Football Manager computer game expert

Today Fifa Interactive World Cup 2014 Grand Final competitor David Bytheway and Football Manager expert Alex Stewart will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals from a gamer's perspective.

"Trevor Sinclair points out that Southampton need to strengthen and in Football Manager they are often a bizarrely active team making some left-field signings. Gangly Brazilian goal-getter Jo, Italian Wonderkid Domenico Berardi, and Liverpool right-back Jon Flanagan usually end up at St. Mary's in the simulation. It just goes to show it isn't all realistic."

  17. West Brom set to sell Ideye and Dorrans?published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Pat Murphy
    BBC Radio 5 live

"West Brom have agreed a fee to sell Brown Ideye to Quatari club Al-Gharafa - 5m euros, around £4m - but payment methods still to be finalised and the Middle East deadline is not till 19 Feb.

"If Ideye leaves, that would be a major hit for West Brom, having paid a club record £10m for the Nigeria striker from Dynamo Kiev only last summer.

"Graham Dorrans is on his way to Norwich to discuss a permanent transfer to Norwich from West Brom. The clubs have agreed a fee of £4m for the Scottish international midfielder. Burnley are also interested.

"In terms of players arriving at The Hawthorns, interest in Darren Fletcher, Etienne Capoue and Carlton Cole is still strong but Rickie Lambert from Liverpool is viewed as a long-shot. A move for Swansea's left-back Neil Taylor is looking less likely now."

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Jonathan in London: At 5'11", 33 years old, quick, and with above average stats in pointing at opposition players making runs past me and clapping long balls over the top I can't quite get to, I reckon I could "do a job" for any number of relegation threatened sides. £1m signing on fee and relegation release clause please.

Ben Tritta, Henlow: I'm a 6ft part italian striker who at 36 has seen better days but I still have something to offer a club looking to get into the Champions League that likes to waste money. I have scored as many Premier League goals as Mario Ballotelli this season. I'm available for loan only!
