  1. DONE DEALpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Hartlepool have signed 6ft 5in striker Marvin Morgan on loan from League Two rivals Plymouth Argyle for the rest of the season. I am willing to bet that Morgan is the only player who runs his own fashion label to be changing clubs today.

  2. What's your value in the market?published at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Steve in London: I play for my local church team and mix the occasional top class pass or goal with a maddening tendency to switch off and forget to defend. I reckon I'd be worth £10m to QPR!

Max Beaton, Tunbridge Wells: I am four foot ten, 17 years old. I'm a striker, and people often say to me I'm like for like with Andy Carroll on the pitch. Willing for any club who will accept me, please help I'm desperate. Champions League is preferred, but I can make do with Europa League. I demand 5% of my wages towards every goal.

  3. Saints need to strengthenpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Former England and Man City winger Trevor Sinclair

"I think if Southampton have real aspirations of finishing in the top four they need to strengthen. They need another forward and to make sure the players they have already got don't go anywhere, because there have been rumours about a few of them.

"But because of their recruitment policy - and the fact they are so well-organised and don't usually leave things till the last day - I'm not so sure they will ... and for me, because of that, I don't think they'll finish in the Champions League places."

BBC pundit Trevor Sinclair is answering your deadline day questions on the BBC's Match of the Day Facebook, external page.

  4. Jose Riga returns to Standard Liegepublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Not a transfer per se but a DONE DEAL nonetheless, and we have not had enough of those today. Former Blackpool and Charlton boss Jose Riga has been appointed manager at Standard Liege. Riga was previously in charge at the Belgian club between 2011 and 2012. "It was a quick and easy decision for me," he said. "I've come here to help the club."

Paul Dixon is on his way from Huddersfield to complete a permanent return to Dundee United.

The 28-year-old left-back, who has three Scotland caps, left Tannadice for the Terriers in 2012. He is out of contract in the summer and could sign a two-and-a-half year contract at Tannadice.

  6. What's your value in the transfer market?published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Alex, Belfast: Ten years ago I became the youngest goalscorer for a pub team in Guangzhou, south China. I was sixteen, my mishit cross flew in to the top corner. I must be worth about £3m in today's market.

  7. Eight hours to gopublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

And we are still waiting for a Premier League club to make a permanent signing on deadline day.

Cheltenham Town have been busy, though, so don't write this off as a lost cause just yet...

  8. The Yak is back in English footballpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    YakubuImage source, AP

Reading's new signing Yakubu has made a total of 298 senior club appearances in his playing career and scored 141 goals. He has enjoyed spells with Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton, Leicester and Blackburn in England, leaving Rovers after they were relegated from the Premier League in 2012.

  9. Schurrle update - deal not done yetpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    John Southall
    BBC Radio 5 live

"Andre Schurrle's move to Wolfsburg hasn't been finalised yet. He's had a medical and it's thought personal terms have been agreed but I believe the two clubs are still negotiating the fee."

The German transfer window deadline is 17:00 GMT.

  10. Forlan signs new dealpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett: "Diego Forlan moved to Manchester United in the January transfer window back in 2002 and at the age of 35 he's still active on deadline day.

"The Uruguay international has signed a six month contract extension the Japanese J-League football club Cerezo Osaka.

"Forlan can still find the back of the net, he's scored seven goals in 26 matches this season."

  11. Distin to West Ham?published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

"Growing sense that one or two things might happen at Everton before the close of play - although that suggestion about Kevin Mirallas moving to Spurs is looking increasingly unlikely to materialise.

"Some suggestions also that West Ham United may take a late interest in Everton defender Sylvain Distin. The Frenchman is now out of the side with the return to fitness of John Stones, restored alongside Phil Jagielka. Everton would be unlikely to stand in his way if they could get someone in but time is running short."

  12. Hit the vote buttonpublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

We've got another vote on this page now. Last time we asked who you thought was the most successful January move - and Luis Suarez received almost 50% of the vote after joining Liverpool from Ajax in 2011.

This time we are keen to ask who you think rates as the least successful January move from our 10 picks.

Possibly Andy Carroll's move to Liverpool from West Ham in 2011? Or maybe Fernando Torres leaving Chelsea for Liverpool in the same year?

And then there is always Kim Kallstrom, who joined Arsenal, while carrying an injury, last January.

Results will be shown in this page when the vote closes.

    YakubuImage source, Reading fc

We needed a big signing to get this deadline day up and running and now we have one: Former Everton and Portsmouth striker Yakubu, 32, has joined Championship side Reading. Yakubu recently left Qatari club Al Rayyan and was a free agent.

  14. Richards still eligible to play for another clubpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Hatem Ben Arfa, look away now. Micah Richards appeared for Manchester City in the Community Shield in August and has played for Fiorentina in Serie A this campaign too. But he would be allowed to play for Inter as well because Uefa count the Wembley fixture as having happened last season.

  15. Richards set for Inter switch?published at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Ben Smith
    BBC Sport

"I am told it is still possible Micah Richards could join Inter Milan before the deadline, where he would, of course, be reunited with his former manager Roberto Mancini.

"The defender is currently on loan at Fiorentina from Manchester City and the lack of time and complications around paperwork could be an issue with City initially needing to recall him and then complete a new deal. Both loan and permanent deals are options for Inter. But time is against them."

  17. All go at Whaddon Roadpublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Who said nothing was happening? It looks like Cheltenham Town and their signing spree is becoming THE story of this deadline day. The Robins have accounted for a staggering 30% of the loans and permanent signings that have been made by English clubs today... although I should add there have only been 10 of those so far.

    Andre Schurrle's dadImage source, Bild

Tough work this transfer deadline day.

German newspaper Bild, external tweets the above picture of Andre Schurrle's dad having a cigarette outside Wolfsburg's offices. We are still waiting for his move from Chelsea to the Bundesliga side to be completed.

And until then, there will be no completing Juan Cuadrado's move to Chelsea...

  19. DONE DEALpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Former Bristol Rovers forward Eliot Richards becomes Cheltenham's third signing of the day, joining on an 18-month deal after having his contract cancelled at Tranmere.

  20. What's your value in the transfer market?published at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

With clubs up and down the country looking for a bargain, today we're asking you: What is your value in the transfer market? And what would it take to convince you to join your rivals?

Chris, Horsham: Am 5' 9", 56 years old. Played cricket as an opening bowler but used to play in goal as a kid until a Chelsea trainee broke my thumb. My son is 6' 5", 22 years old and plays centre back. I'm his agent and would trade him on a free! He gets to play more football and we get peace and quiet, no dirty washing or mud left everywhere and no repetition of amazing body on the line clearances.
