  1. Di Maria subject to attempted break-inpublished at 08:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Manchester United's record signing Angel di Maria was the subject of an attempted break-in at his Cheshire home on Saturday.

Di Maria was at home with his family following United's 3-1 win over Leicester earlier in the day when intruders attempted to gain entrance to the property, via the patio doors.

"It is thought they were not armed and they left empty-handed after triggering an alarm system.

"United paid £59.7million to Real Madrid for the Argentina international in August."

BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett: In Germany it's all about Andre Schurrle and whether his move from Chelsea to Wolfsburg will be completed before the deadline, which in the Bundesliga is 1700 UK time.

Elsewhere Chilean midfielder Marcelo Diaz should wrap his move from Swiss side FC Basel to struggling Hamburg.

And although it should be a quiet day for the top teams, watch out for Roberto Di Matteo's Schalke who could add to their sqaud as they look to book a spot in next season's Champions League.

Could be Bobbie, but don't think he'll be turning out for the Toffees, external anytime soon.

Gareth: Transfer deadline day has been seriously affected by financial fair play. Because clubs cannot risk being penalised for spending too much without recuperating those fees with similar sized player sales, it means either a club does no business at all except for very small fees or loans, or they have to compensate for a massive signing by a massive sale (eg Chelsea selling Schurrle and Salah to pay for Cuadrado). Hope there are more of the latter than the former today!

  5. Move away for Swindon's Luongo?published at 08:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

There could be some big money being handed to lower league clubs today with Swindon website Link Sport, external reporting the League One club have received an informal approach from an agent claiming to represent a club in Qatar, believed to be worth around £3.5million, for midfielder Massimo Luongo.

Luongo is a wanted man after starring in Australia's Asian Cup win.

  6. Mirallas to Tottenham?published at 08:21 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

"Everton's Kevin Mirallas has been linked with a deadline day move to Spurs after recent events at Goodison Park, so it would not be a surprise if there was a late attempt to take him to White Hart Lane on transfer deadline day.

"The mood at Everton, however, is that they and manager Roberto Martinez are in no mood to sell a player who is vital to their side, despite recent events placing him in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

"The talented Belgian revealed he would wait until the end of the season to decide on a new contract - his current one ends in 18 months - and was also involved in the contentious incident when he took penalties duties off Leighton Baines against West Brom and missed the subsequent spot-kick.

"It would be no surprise to see him leave Everton in the summer - but it is hard to see Spurs offering any sort of deal today that would even make Roberto Martinez blink."

BBC Sport's Ben Smith: "Tottenham have entered the race to sign MK Dons' highly-rated midfielder Dele Alli. Newcastle had been in pole position to sign the 18-year-old but Spurs are now quietly confident of signing the youngster before Monday's 11pm deadline."

  8. Champagne out of Fifa racepublished at 08:10 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Some news away from the transfer window as Fifa presidential candidate Jerome Champagne is out of the race after failing to win enough backing for his candidacy, he said on Monday.

Champagne said in a statement that he had won the backing of only three national associations for his bid to unseat Sepp Blatter, rather than the five stipulated in the rules.

  9. Zaha to Palace? Adebayor to... somewhere?published at 08:04 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    BBC Radio 5 live

    Emmanuel AdebayorImage source, PA

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "At Tottenham, Emmanuel Adebayor should be going probably but we don't know where to. I think there is a bit of a scramble to get him out of the club. Stoke could possibly be involved, there is Tony Pulis at West Brom and Harry Redknapp at QPR is a deadline day specialist. Also Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace, he has probably got a bit of money to spend. We think Pardew has done a deal to do Wilfried Zaha on a permanent basis,

"Interestingly West Brom are being linked with Rickie Lambert, which when you consider Liverpool's interest in Danny Ings, could also be significant. Liverpool might think they need another proven goalscorer, but would Burnley sell such a valuable player? There are always surprise deals. I'm no so sure if it will be something from left field though. Adebayor will be the interesting one - who will be willing to pay his wages? He could be the subject of a last minute scramble."

  20. What's happened so far...published at 07:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

Manchester City striker Wilfried BonyImage source, Reuters

Most expensive signing: of this window so far? That will be Manchester City's £28m purchase of Swansea's Ivory Coast striker Wilfried Bony. Will that fee be topped today? You wouldn't bet against it. The Swans have already started spending some of the money, with the £5m signing of Tottenham right-back Kyle Naughton and £1.75m on Exeter City midfielder Matt Grimes.

Other highlights so far include Leicester City's club record £9m signing of Croatia striker Andrej Kramaric and Aston Villa's £3.2m purchase of Spain Under-21 midfielder Carles Gil. You can't accuse Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger keeping his hands in his pocket this window. The Gunners have spent £11.2m on Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulistaa as well as a reported £2.4m for teenage midfielder Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw.

Of course, not all eye-catching moves involve a fee. Manchester United's free transfer signing of goalkeeper Victor Valdes could yet prove a significant piece of business. Will West Brom add to the £4.75m signing of Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman? All is about the unveiled.
