    Somerset have confirmed all-rounder Craig Overton has undergone surgery on a long-standing ankle problem. The 20-year-old suffered a recurrence of the injury while on England Lions duty in South Africa last month but is expected to be fit for the start of the county season in April.

    Tunisia face being banned from the next Africa Cup of Nations after refusing to apologise for accusing the Confederation of African Football (Caf) of cheating.

    They made the allegations after conceding a controversial stoppage-time penalty in a 2-1 defeat by Equatorial Guinea in the quarter-finals.

    The game's referee has been banned for six months for "poor performance".

    Glasgow Warriors duo Finn Russell and Mark Bennett and London Irish back-row Blair Cowan will make their Six Nations debuts when Scotland play France in Paris on Saturday.

    Bennett started the first two autumn Tests in November but was ruled out of the Tonga game by a hamstring injury.

    The only other change from then is tight-head prop Euan Murray stepping in for Geoff Cross, who is on the bench.

    The trio were team-mates at Bolton. Sturridge scored eight goals in 12 games during a loan spell in 2011. Muamba has made a full recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest during a game against Tottenham Hotspur, though following medical advice, he announced his retirement from professional football in August 2012.

    Former Derby, Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday striker Deon Burton has signed for Conference side Eastleigh until the end of the season.

    One of only three men to take more than 400 victims in his career, Boucher was an accomplished wicketkeeper first, and a batsman second. Still he lies fifth in the list of runs made by wicketkeepers, his total of 4,686 impressive because he rarely batted higher than number six. Memorably hit the winning runs in South Africa's chase of 434 to beat Australia.

    Sacked Yeovil manager Gary Johnson has insisted he would have saved them from relegation had he been allowed to keep his job.

    The 59-year-old was dismissed on Tuesday, with the Glovers bottom of League One and four points from safety.

    He told BBC Somerset: "I was ready, able and willing to see this through. There was still time. We'd made a conscious decision that we were going to get out of this."

    It's almost here... the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

    And, to mark the competition's opening on the weekend of 14 February, BBC Sport is conducting a vote on the world's greatest one-day international XI. Each day Sportsday live readers will get to vote for the different components which make up the side - opening batsmen, middle-order batsmen, all-rounders, wicketkeepers, pace bowlers and spin bowlers. The contenders have been nominated by the Test Match Special team.

    Voting on each category will take place on each weekday, with two votes on 9 February. The vote result won't be revealed until the Tuffers & Vaughan show on BBC Radio 5 live on Monday, 9 February and on the BBC Sport website.

    The 11th year of Premier League Darts begins in Leeds this evening, with Raymond van Barneveld of the Netherlands (bottom, centre) defending the title he won for the first time in 2014.

    The tournament is played every Thursday for 16 weeks, with the 10 competitors all hoping to qualify for the play-offs at The O2 Arena in London on 21 May.

    Among tonight's five fixtures is a repeat of last month's World Championship final between Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson.

    Liverpool have agreed the biggest kit supplier deal in their history with American sportswear manufacturer New Balance.

    In 2012 Liverpool signed a six-year deal worth £25m a season with Warrior Sports, whose parent company is New Balance.

    Their kits will be made by New Balance from next season onwards in a deal reportedly worth up to £300 million.

    Here's something you don't read every day - there's been a world record in Widnes.

    More than 3,400 local residents took part in Wake Up Shake Up - and in doing so became the largest ever group exercising to a fitness video.

    It took place at Widnes Vikings, external Select Security Stadium, with the players joining in ahead of their Super League opener against Wigan at 20:00 GMT.

    The gathering beat the previous record set in China, when 2,958 took part.
