    We promised you Premier League managers and here's the first of six coming up today.

    Everton boss Roberto Martinez has arrived to face the media and begins by revealing midfielder James McCarthy will be available to face Liverpool in the big Merseyside derby on Saturday.

    "We expect him to be fully fit now for the rest of the season," says the manager.

    Nottingham Forest owner and chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi has seemingly put his future at the club in doubt.

    Al Hasawi, who sacked manager Stuart Pearce on Sunday and has been heavily criticised for the way the club have handled their finances, was answering questions from fans on Twitter.

    And when asked if he would ever step down as chairman and just be the owner, he said:, external "I will soon from everything".

    Al Hasawi, who took over in July 2012, later deleted the message.

    Everton have announced that the 96 who died at Hillsborough are to have a plaque unveiled, external in their memory at Goodison Park, ahead of Saturday's 224th Merseyside derby against Liverpool.

    The permanent tribute had been suggested to the club by supporters and Everton fan Stephen Kelly, whose brother Michael died in the tragedy in April 1989.

    Defending champion Lee Westwood and major winner Graeme McDowell shared the clubhouse lead, external in Thursday's opening round of the Malaysian Open.

    Westwood, who romped to a seven-shot victory last year, had seven birdies and one bogey to record a six-under-par round of 66. Former U.S. Open champion McDowell also carded seven birdies.

    Among other early finishers, England's Tommy Fleetwood was third after a 67, two strokes ahead of European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley.

    Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez, who won the season-opening event on the Champions Tour in Hawaii late last month, opened with a 72.

    James Rodriguez went off with a broken metatarsal as Real Madrid moved four points clear at the top of La Liga with victory over Sevilla at the Bernabeu.

    The Colombia midfielder will undergo surgery "in the coming hours", the European champions announced.

    Carlo Ancelotti's side put themselves on course for a fourth successive league victory when James headed home.

    His replacement, Jese Rodriguez, swept in a second before the break. Sevilla's Iago Aspas scored a consolation.

    Former Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle has revealed that when he was hit by a lorry in December, he was attempting to take his own life.

    In an interview with the Sun newspaper, Carlisle said he had been left severely depressed by the end of his football career, financial problems and the loss of a television punditry role.

    The 35-year-old left hospital on 30 January, six weeks after being struck in North Yorkshire.

    "This was my lowest point," he said.

    Some cricket news from overnight... Australia captain Michael Clarke has continued his push to prove his fitness ahead of the cricket World Cup by bowling a couple of overs and scoring 34 off 36 balls in a warm-up match against Bangladesh.

    The 33-year-old has until Australia's second match of the tournament - against Bangladesh on 21 Feb - to prove his fitness after surgery on a torn hamstring.

    But despite his impressive comeback, Clarke said: "In my opinion, there's still a gap between where I am now and playing a one-day international for Australia."

    While Liverpool fans went home happy after last's FA Cup win, there was one man who really, really wasn't.

    "I thought the ref was rubbish," said Bolton boss Neil Lennon. "I thought he spoiled what was a very good game."

    The referee in question, Roger East, awarded Bolton a contentious penalty, but angered Lennon by sending off midfielder Neil Danns with the Trotters 1-0 ahead. Liverpool won it with two late goals.

    Lennon added: "The sending-off changed the game because I thought at 1-0, and with 11 men, we were OK. We were comfortable."
