    It is a major night of football tonight - and not just in the Champions League. That's because the 2015 Women's Super League kicks off later.

    Two WSL 2 fixtures start the season, while WSL 1 begins next Wednesday. Double the chances of promotion, add a sprinkling of international talent and you have the recipe for a bigger and better WSL 2 season - here's the full lowdown.

    Former 400m world champion Amantle Montsho is banned for two years by her native Botswana Athletics Association.

    Montsho, 31, tested positive for the stimulant methylhexaneamine at last year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

    Montsho, who finished fourth at the London Olympics, has indicated she will appeal the sanction.

    Scotland full-back Greig Tonks extends his contract at Pro 12 side Edinburgh for another two seasons.

    Tonks, 25, who can play at full-back or fly-half, won his third Scotland cap in last weekend's loss to England.

    Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is not the sort of man whose emotions can be easily detected.

    But even the chilled Chilean seems to have been feeling the pressure recently as the Blues slipped further behind Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

    However, he claims his job is not under threat as City prepare to face Barcelona for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

    "I don't think my seat is in danger. We're second in the table, still strong and are going to fight," says the 61-year-old.

    Long-term hamstring injury victim Thomas Vermaelen is still sidelined, with goalkeeper Jordi Masip, centre-back Martin Montoya and right-back Douglas also out.

    The 27-year-old England international's police bail has been extended following his arrest on suspicion of sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.

    Johnson is available to play in the Black Cats' visit to West Ham on Saturday.

    Former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure returns from suspension after missing the last three Champions League games following his red card against CSKA Moscow.

    City - who trail 2-1 after the first leg and must score twice - are without left-back Gael Clichy after his red card in the first game.

    We've all heard of a bit of harmless sledging on the cricket field, but it seems that one club side in New Zealand took things too far.

    Lansdowne are accused of delivering "an intolerable level of personal abuse" after their opponents Greytown abandoned their club final, Stuff.co.nz reported., external

    Greytown say some of their players were close to tears at the "ugly personal attacks and abusive behaviour".

    Lansdowne say they are taking the matter seriously, and are "keen to remedy this issue".

    Dundee United midfielder Paul Paton and Rotherham left-back Daniel Lafferty, who is on loan from Burnley, have been added to the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming matches against Scotland and Finland.

    The duo replace Kilmarnock's Sammy Clingan and Rangers' Shane Ferguson, who have both been ruled out with knee injuries.

    Northern Ireland have also named a new assistant manager. Cowdenbeath boss Jimmy Nicholl will be number two to Michael O'Neill.

    The Football Association will talk to Fifa this week about extending the emergency loan system which many lower league clubs believe is vital to their existence.

    World governing body Fifa plans to end the system, which allows clubs to sign players outside of the two transfer windows, at the end of this season.

    The FA hopes to persuade Fifa to extend emergency loans to the end of 2015-16.
