    Welcome to this morning's Sportsday. It's a sombre morning for Arsenal fans, but while we will be reflecting on last night's Champions League action, there will also be plenty more to keep us occupied today.

    We'll have a brief round-up of the important action in the Championship last night, as Watford climbed to the top of the table. We'll be turning our attention to the England cricket team at 11:45 GMT, when the Test squad for the tour of the West Indies. And speaking of cricket, we'll be keep you posted on what's happening in the World Cup quarter-final between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

    Later on, we'll turn our attention to this evening's Champions League action - which, as mentioned, sees Manchester City take on Barcelona.

    Out in the last 16...again. Falling just short after a second-leg victory...again. Gallant losers...again.

    Yes, it's groundhog day for Arsenal after another valiant, oh-so-close defeat in the Champions League. The Gunners played well to beat Monaco 2-0 last night, but it wasn't enough after a 3-1 defeat at the Emirates in the first leg.

    So it's all down to Manchester City to preserve British interest in the Champions League when they bid to overturn a 2-1 deficit at the Nou Camp this evening. Good luck lads...
