    Defender David Luiz has been ruled out for four weeks and midfielder Thiago Motta for ten days after the pair sustained injuries in the weekend Ligue 1 match against Marseille.

    Yeovil Town acting manager Terry Skiverton says some of the players who lost 4-0 to Fleetwood on Monday will never play for the League One team again.

    The Glovers are 13 points from safety with five matches remaining and are almost certain to suffer a second consecutive relegation.

    "This was last chance saloon," Skiverton told BBC Spotlight. "The doors have finally swung and now there are a few people in that team that will not be able to get back into the doors of Yeovil Town."

    Russian Premier League side Torpedo Moscow will play two home games in an empty stadium in what is their fourth racism-related punishment this season.

    The Russian Football Union said Torpedo fans displayed a Nazi symbol during Sunday's 3-1 win at Arsenal Tula.

    The punishment will take place in May, as Torpedo's next two home games are already set to be behind closed doors.

    That follows an incident in which fans abused Zenit St. Petersburg striker Hulk with monkey chants.

    Ipswich striker Luke Varney says Town's players "let themselves down" in Monday's 2-1 loss at Huddersfield.

    Varney's first goal for the club could not prevent a defeat that left Ipswich eighth in the Championship, three points outside the play-off places with five games left.

    "We didn't do ourselves justice," the 32-year-old told BBC Radio Suffolk. "We knew we needed to do a lot more and we've let ourselves down."

    "I still want to get back in the England team," he tells Sky Sports. "I feel there is more cricket ahead of me than behind.

    "I feel if I put in some hard work, and some strong performances - particularly early in the season - then you never know. The desire is still there."

    Football Association chairman Greg Dyke has returned a £16,000 watch given to him by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

    The commemorative gifts were handed out by one of the CBF's sponsors to various people at the 2014 World Cup, including 28 members of Fifa's executive committee.

    "Mr Greg Dyke has returned the CBF Parmigiani watch," read a Fifa statement.

    "As a consequence, the adjudicatory chamber of the Fifa Ethics Committee has decided to close the proceedings in respect of a possible breach of the Fifa code of ethics."

    The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Issa Hayatou, has called for the organisation's 54 members to vote for Sepp Blatter in the Fifa presidential election in May.

    Blatter is the current incumbent and is going for a fifth term in his role but faces competition from Prince Ali bin Al Hussein of Jordan, Dutch Football Association President Michael van Praag and former Portugal international Luis Figo.

    "His action in favour of Africa speaks for him. To us, he is still the man of the situation," Cameroonian Hayatou said at the start of CAF's two-day general assembly in Cairo.

    Portsmouth pair Ryan Taylor and Nyron Nosworthy say they want to be at the club next season.

    Forward Taylor, 26, is out of contract in the summer while defender Nosworthy, 34, is on loan from Blackpool.

    Asked after their 2-1 win over Plymouth if he hoped for a new contract, Taylor told BBC Radio Solent: "Definitely.

    "You only have to look at the result and the fans were loving it, 16,000 fans. It's unknown in League Two, why would I want to play anywhere else?"

    Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has no immediate plans to sell the Premier League club, but says talks are ongoing with an interested party.

    The Eagles were linked with a takeover by American billionaire Josh Harris late last year.

    Parish says they only need investment in order to improve Selhurst Park.

    "The only reason for us to get money in is to improve the infrastructure. There is no rush and we are in a good place. If it happens, it happens," Parish told BBC London 94.9.

    Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has a foot problem and could miss Wednesday's La Liga game at Rayo Vallecano.

    If the Wales international is out it could mean James Rodriguez and Isco starting rather than just one of them.

    "We have had a problem with Bale, who has a knock on the left foot," says Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.

    "Both [James and Isco] could play because they have played together many times. It is not a debate about Isco or James but a debate about a squad in very good shape."

    Today we take to you back to 2012, when on this day, 7 April, the Boat Race was dramatically halted when a protester swam between the crews.

    The race was subsequently restarted and won by Cambridge. Protester Trenton Oldfield was later jailed for six months for causing a public nuisance.

    This year's Boat Race takes place on Saturday. The women's race starts at 1650 BST and the men's at 1750 BST, and you can follow both live across the BBC.
