  1. Mauricio Pochettino press conferencepublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Mauricio Pochettino says he is looking forward to returning to St Mary's with Spurs on Saturday after leaving Southampton last summer but is not expecting a "special reception".

Recalling his time on the south coast, he said: "We stabilised the club in the Premier League and top 10 and I'm very happy it was good for Southampton because I love the people of Southampton, the players.

"Koeman has continued to develop the project, or a new project, and it's a fantastic job and he deserves the praise."

Asked about what reception to expect, he said: "I don't expect nothing special."

  2. Johnson chargedpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

  3. Mauricio Pochettino press conferencepublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke earlier about Harry Kane's possible selection for England Under-21s in this summer's European Championship and he has warned that his club must be "careful" with their young talent.

"It's not because Harry Kane, (Ryan) Mason and (Nabil) Bentaleb are good this season, now we need to put all academy players in the first team," he said.

  4. Chris Ramsey press conferencepublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Three wins from five games. That's what Chris Ramsey believes his QPR side need to stay up. It is not impossible, but for a team that has won only 7 of their last 33 games it is pretty tough ask. Those five fixtures start with a home game against West Ham...

"If you win three games you're probably going to stay up," said Ramsey. "We know the enormity of the task ahead but you can only plan and prepare as best you can and what happens, happens."

  5. Delia hopes Meekings can play in finalpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Ronny Deila hopes Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Josh Meekings is successful in challenging the ban that would rule him out of the Scottish Cup final (see 12:16 entry).

Meekings is contesting the one-game ban 'offered' to him by the Scottish FA's compliance officer for a supposedly deliberate handball to prevent Celtic's Leigh Griffiths scoring in Sunday's semi-final at Hampden.

"It doesn't help us if someone gets banned," said Celtic's Norwegian boss. "I don't think he did it on purpose."

  6. Tim Sherwood press conferencepublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood may be a big fan of midfielder Jack Grealish, but that has not prevented him having a stern word with the young player, who was pictured in the Sun inhaling nitrous oxide.

"I'm not pleased obviously, I spoke to Jack first thing this morning as he came in, I explained to him his behaviour can't be tolerated by the football club, we can't condone that behaviour. It doesn't matter how young he is, he is now in a responsible position as a professional footballer, he's got to make sure it won't happen again, he's assured me it won't."

Floyd Mayweather has hit back at claims by Manny Pacquiao that God is willing him to inflict the first defeat of the American's career on 2 May. Best let him do the talking...

"God loves us all. I'm a fighter. I'm a professional prizefighter, that's what I do. I believe in God, I love God. I've been blessed all my life. I don't think God takes sides.

"Whether you're American, Filipino, African, Dominican, Asian, we're all God's children. I don't think he roots for which of us he wants to win. People are going to root for who they want to root for, it's plain and simple."

  10. Dossena treated 'like a terrorist'published at 14:45 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Former Liverpool and Sunderland defender Andrea Dossena has claimed he was treated "like a terrorist" after he was arrested for shoplifting in Harrods.

Italian Dossena, 33, was detained with his wife, Deborah, and young son, Romeo, at the Knightsbridge department store, but all charges were later dropped.

Dossena, who is now at Leyton Orient, told Corriere dello Sport, external they were handcuffed, "as you would do with a terrorist", adding: "I was obviously in disbelief, not only because of that gesture but because I didn't know what was going on - I hadn't realised the mistake we'd made.

"They asked to see our documents that prove our status as residents of London, and obviously I didn't have them with me - I'd left them at home. So then they took us to the police station, where they held us until 22:30, despite the needs of a two-and-a-half-year-old child. It's absurd to treat a child this way."

This morning we asked you for your ticket tales - the occasions when you have lucked upon a ticket to a big event, lost your entry for a defining moment or spent a fortune on getting in to a sporting event...

Dave, Essex: Cycling from work before an England match, I got a call at 6pm, still 10 miles to go, saying there is a free ticket. Cycled like hell, showered, out the house, in the car in 10 mins. I got to Wembley, parked up and ran to the gates, in to my seat 30 seconds before kick off....result.

Anthony, Wirral: Me & my brother spent over £700 each for a 1 night stay to Athens in 2007. Liverpool lost a CL final 2-1 & the hotel was like something out of Fawlty Towers! Finally, our breakfast consisted of coffee, a hard boiled egg & half an apple! We couldn't wait to fly home !

Cliche alert from Nigel Pearson. The Leicester boss says Saturday's match against Burnley will have a "cup feel" about it. Here is the quote in full from today's press conference...

We've been in decent form, we have to maintain that. Remaining games will impact those around us, but we must stay focused. There's a lot on the result, possibly a bit of a cup feel to it. Every encounter we've had in recent seasons has been close.

This morning we asked you for your ticket tales - the occasions when you have lucked upon a ticket to a big event, lost your entry for a defining moment or spent a fortune on getting in to a sporting event...

James: I didn't have the booking history to buy Villa tickets for the semi final just played. However, as I am a serving soldier, Tickets for Troops contacted me TWO days before the game to let me know they had two tickets left. So I took my 8 year old son to what was our first time to Wembley to watch the greatest Villa game our lives, and I was at Villa v Inter in the 90's. Delph's goal was right in front of us and we haven't stopped cheering/singing/smiling since. Didnt think I would be saying that back in January. UTV.

More from Brendan Rodgers on his own future, as he prepares to become the first Liverpool boss since the 1950s to complete three seasons in charge without winning a trophy.

"I don't think there's anyone better (to manage Liverpool). I have a strong relationship with the owners," he says.

"We will always strive to be the best. The reality is we want to be winners. I'm even more motivated to make sure we progress."

He confirms that striker Daniel Sturridge will not be available to face West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Nigel Pearson has the rare luxury today of being able to talk to the press as the manager of a Leicester team who have won their last three Premier League matches. On Saturday, they face a huge match against fellow relegation battlers Burnley.

"There's a lot on the result, possibly a bit of a cup feel to it. Every encounter we've had in recent seasons has been close. We have a few bumps and bruises, but we'll assess Friday. David Nugent (calf) is touch and go, but we've had a relatively fit squad."

  16. Brendan Rodgers press conferencepublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Asked about outgoing Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp being linked with Liverpool, Rodgers said: "When you are at a club like Liverpool, there will be lots of names mentioned. It goes with being at a big club."

Following last weekend's FA Cup semi-final defeat by Aston Villa, Rodgers says his team will fight for a top-four finish until the end of the season.

"If you take the emotion out of last weekend, this is a team who over achieved last season. It had a world-class striker and nearly won title," he adds.

"We want to finish the season strong and take that momentum into the following season. If other clubs make mistakes then we have to ensure we're ready to take advantage."

"We're delighted. It's great news for the club and for Jordan that he's going to spend best part of his career here," he says.

"The likes of Jordan and Raheem [Sterling] are very important players. The club are working very hard behind scenes to sign them up."

  18. Ronald Koeman news conferencepublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 23 April 2015

Ronald Koeman is now speaking to the press. He has just had to field the obvious question about interest in his players from other clubs. He responded with the obvious answer...

Striker Kane, 21, made his full England debut last month and has indicated he wants to take part in the tournament in the Czech Republic.

Pochettino said: "We need to talk with the federation (FA) but it's Harry's decision. Harry's a player and if he wants to go, you cannot stop him."

"That title was his by right. He will always have a major place in our great club's history. To his wondrous Lady Rita and his family we send the deepest of condolences together with our undying love and gratitude for his life."
