  6. How to hurt your hooterpublished at 09:05 British Summer Time 18 May 2015

Despite his prowess at tennis, turns our Novak Djokovic isn't quite as adept at opening a bottle of champagne.

Celebrating on-court after beating Federer, here's how Novak did it. Pointing straight up at his face. Schoolboy error

At which point, the cork shot off and smacked him on the nose. Ouch.

Still, given Djokovic had just made it 22 consecutive wins - which means he will go into the French Open, which starts next Monday, in ultra-confident mood - I don't think he'll be too perturbed.

  9. Bouncing backpublished at 08:54 British Summer Time 18 May 2015

And while we're talking Barca, may we gently shove you in the direction of this piece by BBC Sport's Spanish football writer Andy West.

He lists 10 reasons why Barcelona - who failed to win a single trophy in 2014 - have bounced back in such style.

    gettyImage source, Getty Images

These include the impact of Luis Suarez. "His relentless work rate and excellent, intelligent movement provide a constant challenge to opposing defenders, who regularly find themselves stretched and dragged out of position by the Uruguayan's perceptive running," writes West.

Suarez has also scored 24 goals and, perhaps even more impressively, kept his teeth to himself.

  10. Brilliant Barcapublished at 08:49 British Summer Time 18 May 2015

It must be tough being a Barcelona fan. It's not a question of if you win, it's by how many and which trophies you'll lift.

Well, they've just secured league, Lionel Messi's strike giving the club its 23rd Spanish title as they beat Atletico Madrid to regain the La Liga crown.

Messi's 41st league goal of the season ensured that Real Madrid will finish second - despite Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick against Espanyol.

With one game left Barca hold an insurmountable four-point lead over rivals Real.

According to reports, Broad returned to his hotel at 07:00 BST on Thursday and was unable to attend the 09:30 event.

The 28-year-old said: "I woke up with a migraine. I wasn't on England duty for the ECB. But I did apologise for putting them in that position. It was probably not as bad as it was portrayed."

Not ideal preparation for the two-Test series against New Zealand, which starts on Thursday.

The trouble began when a Terengganu goal that would have taken them through to the final was ruled out late in the match.

"We fired 30 rounds of tear gas because the protesters were stubborn and refused the disperse after the game," the local police chief said.

"I did what I wanted the last few weeks, got a couple of wins, got myself up the Fedex Cup standings and solidified my positions in the rankings."

"Memphis Depay flew to Manchester on Sunday night and will undergo a medical at Carrington on Monday ahead of his move from PSV Eindhoven to Manchester United.

"There is then paperwork to be completed before the 21-year-old's signing can be be finalised and he must wait until the transfer window opens to be registered. United will pay €34m (£25m), with €9m (£6.5m) in bonuses to follow subject to clauses being met."

  17. 'It's difficult for him'published at 08:12 British Summer Time 18 May 2015

Louis Van Gaal has been pretty blunt with his comments about the De Gea situation.

    gettyImage source, Getty Images

"De Gea is Spanish, he is a Spanish international. Now a Spanish club is coming. His girlfriend is Spanish and his father and mother come over every week or two weeks to watch him - it is difficult for him," said the United boss.

"I don't think I can persuade him because he knows everything that he has at Manchester United at this moment."

Sounds pretty cut and dried to us, which means United will be in market for a keeper this summer and De Gea needs a one-way airline ticket for Madrid.

  18. David to depart?published at 08:04 British Summer Time 18 May 2015

So then, to the big story overnight and Man United boss Louis van Gaal's comments that keeper David De Gea could leave Old Trafford in the summer and head to Real Madrid.

    gettyImage source, Getty Images

De Gea went off with a hamstring injury during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford, which makes him a doubt for United's last match of the season at Hull City next weekend - and means he may have played his final game for the club.

Real have earmarked the 24-year-old Spain international as the successor to veteran keeper Iker Casillas, and he is sure to be tempted by the possibility rejoining his family and girlfriend in his homeland, according to Van Gaal.

Instead it's Stuart Broad, who has apologised for missing the launch event for England's forthcoming Test series with New Zealand, citing a migraine... though it later transpired, according to reports, that the real reason was because he'd been out till seven in the morning on a night out.
