    Berbatov goes Greekpublished at 10:54

    Football

Former Manchester United and Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov has signed a one-year deal with Greek club PAOK.

The 34-year-old Bulgarian was a free agent after leaving Monaco in the summer and reports had linked him with a deadline-day switch to Aston Villa.

Berbatov spent last season in France's Ligue 1 with Monaco.

Meanwhile, for no other reason that we like it, here's a pic of Berbatov playing for Bayer Leverkusen in 2002. To be fair, given that is 13 years ago, he's aged pretty well.

It will be easier to reintegrate Berahino into the West Brom dressing room than with the fans, who have been vitriolic against him recently, viewing yesterday’s Twitter rant as the last straw. Berahino won the players’ player of the year award last term and being pragmatists, the first team squad will realise his importance to them staying in the Premier League.
