Andy Murray made a characteristically effective return of Lleyton Hewitt's earlier suggestion that all the pressure of the tie was on the Scot's shoulders.

"I wouldn't say it's all on me," said Murray. "It's obviously Lleyton's last chance to win the Davis Cup - he'll be feeling the pressure as well."

Jockey Oisin Murphy's been sepaking about the decision to abandon racing at Yarmouth today, after he was unseated after crossing the line by the unplaced Passover. Following that mishap, a delegation of jockeys and officials inspected the track and the decision was taken to abandon the remainder of the card.

Murphy said: "I wasn't questioned (by the stewards), but I think on safety grounds it's the right decision.

"The ground was quite quick and with the rain they've had on top of it, it made it quite slippy and unfortunately my horse came down, hopefully he's OK. I don't think the clerk of the course is responsible, it's down to the weather."

David Gill claims Manchester City will never be as big as United in Asia and other markets across the globe.

The former Manchester United chief executive told the Manchester Evening News: "I'm not being arrogant here but (Manchester City) will never be as big as Manchester United in Asia and certain markets.

"Look at Liverpool, the club haven't won the league for so many years, but they are very popular in Asia.

"The big teams with history and heritage, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid, have that."

The track only reopened last month after a £300,000 project which included relaying the track at the seaside course.
