    The two internationals have signed new deals to return to Grace Road - Pakistani Akmal as the county's second overseas player in the 2016 Blast, and Ireland all-rounder O'Brien for both that competition and the Royal London Cup.

    Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has undergone a specialist procedure in America in an attempt to cure an ongoing heel problem.

    The midfielder has received expert advice from New Jersey-based Dr John Cozzarelli.

    PA Sport reports that since arriving Henderson has been assessed and has undergone a procedure which involves a series of injections but he has not had surgery.

    Hamburg is one of five cities bidding for the 2024 Olympics while the German football association (DFB) is hoping to land the Euros in the same year.

    "I think this can be possible because time-wise they are a couple of weeks apart from each other so they do not influence each other in this respect," Bach said.

    "I also think that nobody has real doubt about the Germans' organisational skills."

    One of Ireland's most popular jump jockeys, David Casey, has two rides at Listowel on Wednesday afternoon as he bids to bow out on a winning note.

    The Terriers finally achieved their first victory by beating Powell's former club Charlton 2-1 on Tuesday evening.
