The Australian team have been out to face the media in Glasgow, a relaxed bunch and quietly confident. The controversial Nick Kyrgios is absent but the similarly headline-grabbing Bernard Tomic is back in the fold, along with Lleyton Hewitt, Thanasi Kokkinakis and Sam Groth.

"A lot of the pressure is obviously on Andy," said Hewitt, beginning the mind games with the younger Murray brother. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Kokkinakis has been enjoying his first trip to Glasgow. "I tried some haggis," he said. "Better than I thought."
