    Welshman Lee Selby, 28, is hoping to make a big impact on his debut in the United States on Thursday when he defends his IBF featherweight crown against Mexican veteran Fernando Montiel in Arizona. 

    But he is also hoping to set up a clash against fellow Briton Josh Warrington.

    "I want to be a worldwide star and to do that you need the big fights in America," Selby told Press Association Sport.

    "But Warrington is still a fight I'd be interested in. He's got a big fan base and the UK fans want it, so it's a lucrative fight."

    Sunderland striker Beth Mead is one for four new faces in the England Women's squad for their forthcoming international friendly tournament in China.

    The Women's Super League One's 12-goal top scorer is joined in boss Mark Sampson's squad of 21 by Chelsea's uncapped trio of Hannah Blundell, Laura Coombs and Drew Spence.

    England face hosts China and Australia in the tournament, starting next week.

    Former world champions Keri-anne Payne and Liam Tancock have both been restored to full UK Sport Podium funding, having being dropped from financial support in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

    Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson - who failed to qualify for this summer's World Championships, has lost all support.

    Welsh record holder Georgia Davies is another to lose support after also missing out on qualification for Kazan.

    How about this for an incentive? A £1m bonus will be paid if any horse should win three of jump racing's biggest races this season.

    The Jockey Club is offering the incentive for the treble of Haydock's Betfair Chase, the King George VI Chase at Kempton and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

    Officials from the organisation, which runs all three courses, say the prize is a tribute to the steeplechaser Kauto Star who died earlier this year.

    Kauto Star achieved the hat-trick, earning a similar payout which applied in the 2006-07 season.

    "I blame myself for the no-ball," said Broad. "We pride ourselves on our catching and not bowling no-balls.

    "I can't think of many times I've had one chalked off, if at all. It's a feeling of (being) distraught.

    "I'm not a regular no-ball bowler so it took me a bit by surprise, but it's not really acceptable at this level. I apologised at tea to all of the guys because it was disappointing."

    Wolfsburg is set to scrap plans for a 40m euros (£29.87m) training facility, according to reports, as main sponsor Volkswagen remains embroiled in a pollution cheating scandal.

    According to both German daily Bild, external and local newspaper Wolfsburg Nachrichten, the German Cup holders have shelved plans for an academy training centre, reported to cost between 30 and 40m euros.
