Ex-NBA star Lamar Odom is back in Los Angeles after receiving treatment at a Las Vegas hospital, a week after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

Odom will continue his recovery in Los Angeles and is making "miraculous" progress, even taking a few steps, according to a family statement.

League Two leaders Plymouth travel to Oxford, with Portsmouth in second at home to Teddy Sheringham's Stevenage.

League One leaders Gillingham face Scunthorpe, while Walsall in second will be hoping the Gills slip up and they could themselves go top if they win at Barnsley.

It is also a big evening of domestic football, with nine games in the Championship, 12 in League One, 11 in League Two with further matches in the Scottish Championship and Rangers in Petrofac Training Cup quarter-final action.

In the Championship, leaders Brighton entertain Bristol City, with second-placed Reading at Rotherham United in Neil Redfearn's first home game in charge of the Millers.

Two of those home Arsenal defeats have come against tonight's Champions League opponents Bayern Munich.

In February 2014 the Gunners lost 2-0 and in February 2013 they slumped to a 3-1 defeat.

It has already been an eventful afternoon for some Bayern officials with the Telegraph reporting, external that the team bus crashed into a parked car.

The club are quoted as saying it was a 'minor' incident and that no-one was hurt.

It is a big night for Arsenal and Chelsea as they meet Bayern Munich and Dynamo Kiev respectively in Champions League action.

The Gunners have lost their opening two matches, while Chelsea have won one, lost one.

Not many British footballers play in other countries… but 17-year-old England youth international Danny Collinge is loving life after making the move from MK Dons in England to VFB Stuttgart in Germany.

The ambitious centre-back - who is trying to break into the first team while also juggling daily studies at school - says he would love to star for the England national side one day.

"Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has some decisions to make over his team selection for Wednesday's Champions League group game in Moscow, just four days ahead of the derby against Manchester City.

"The Reds trained at Carrington earlier on Tuesday ahead of their flight to Moscow, and there was no sign of winger Ashley Young, who missed Saturday’s win at Everton with a calf injury."

"Louis van Gaal told BBC Radio Manchester after the win over Everton at Goodison that the decision to replace Juan Mata with Jesse Lingard at the interval was a tactical one, as he felt the Spaniard was playing too much in midfield and he wanted a bit more pace and creativity further up the field.

"He could give Lingard a first Champions League start on Wednesday after the youngster impressed during the second half of the 3-0 win, while keeping Mata fresh for Sunday’s game at Old Trafford. 

"Daley Blind could also return after missing the victory at Everton."

Newcastle Falcons have signed Argentina utility back Belisario Agulla after he ended a spell with French side Agen.

The 27-year-old, who is the brother of Bath winger Horacio, has 11 caps but was not selected for the World Cup.

"Belisario is a talented, fast and dynamic player," Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said.

In a list of the world's most combustible derby matches, the Angus Clasico between Arbroath and Montrose rarely ranks particularly highly. Until now.

The two clubs have been warned by Police Scotland after violence erupted both inside and outside Gayfield on Saturday, with flares being thrown and fights breaking out in the streets of Arbroath. Five people were arrested.

Arbroath won the League Two encounter 3-1.

Striker Rickie Lambert says he is "desperate" to end his goal drought and help keep West Brom away from the wrong end of the Premier League table.

The 33-year-old England forward has yet to find the net for Albion since his £3m summer move from Liverpool.

"I know there's more to this role under (Tony) Pulis than just scoring goals. You get asked a lot more defensively than I've had in the past, but it's something you have to get used to and I'm trying to get as fit as I can," he told BBC WM.

Arsenal are poised to make a £33m move for Real Madrid ace Isco, according to reports in Spain. 

Spanish publication Fichajes says, external Arsene Wenger is keen to rival Chelsea for the 23-year-old's signature in January. 

Another Arsenal target seems less likely to sign, though. Midfielder William Carvalho is poised to agree a new deal with Sporting Lisbon, according to Goal.com., external

"If ever there was a time to impress in training, this week might be it for some of Watford's fringe players. Despite another spirited performance in defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, the Hornets failed to score for the fifth time this season. 

"Head coach Quique Flores has - by and large - kept a settled side from the off. And the majority were at the club last season, with seven starters on Saturday played last term.

"So, for summer signings such as Victor Ibarbo, Steven Berghuis, Alessandro Diamanti and Obbi Oulare, now would be the perfect time to show their boss they should be in the team."

Champion jumps trainer Paul Nicholls has secured his 2,500th career victory.

The landmark was brought up by 2-13 favourite Abidjan, who won by eight lengths at Exeter under jockey Sam Twiston-Davies.
