    Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola warned his side to expect to face an Arsenal 'animal' fighting for Champions League survival when the sides meet later on Tuesday.

    But former Chelsea and Scotland winger Pat Nevin is having none of it...

    "Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla, Theo Walcott - animals? Maybe cuddly puppies. I think they're a lovely team but I wouldn't describe them as animals," he told 5 live.

    Wigan and England forward John Bateman has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2017, with an option for a further year.

    The contract allows Bateman to join an NRL side in 2019 in return for a fee.

    The 22-year-old made 31 appearances this season, as Wigan lost in the Super League Grand Final to Leeds Rhinos.

    Blackpool president Valeri Belokon says he remains interested in buying a controlling stake in the League One club.

    The Latvian has a 20% stake in the Seasiders, but has not had talks with majority shareholder Owen Oyston since July.

    He has had meetings with local businesspeople about forming an investment partnership and when asked by BBC North West Tonight if he still wanted to buy the club, he replied: "I'd love to."

    Australia coach Michael Cheika describes his treatment as "so unfair" and retired referee Jonathan Kaplan now fears for the image for the game.
