    Pole vault world record holder, and one or Russia's most decorated athletes, Yelena Isinbayeva, has written an open letter ahead of tonight’s IAAF decision saying that she is clean, and that to deny Russian athletes a chance to compete at Rio Olympics would be "unjust and unfair". 

    "Throughout my sports career, I honestly worked, trained, won world championships and the Olympic Games, world records", said the 33-year-old, who won bronze at London 2012. 

    "All my victories are honest, clean and well-deserved. I have clearly and strictly observed and continue to comply with all the rules of the anti-doping campaign.  

    "But I urge you not to align all athletes with the same brush"

    The renaming of the Football League to the English Football League (EFL) is "insulting" to Welsh clubs, says the chairman of Cardiff City Supporters' Trust.

    The competition will take its new title from the end of the 2015-16 season.

    The league's 72 members include Newport and Cardiff, whose Supporters' Trust chairman has criticised the rebranding.

    "It's a little bit insulting that both Welsh clubs will be classed as English," Tim Hartley said.

    World athletics chiefs will meet later today to decide whether to suspend Russia over accusations of The IAAF could exclude Russian athletes being excluded from the 2016 Rio Olympics. 

    Sebastian Coe, the organisation's recently-elected president, will not be at its headquarters in Monaco but will preside from London over a conference call of the body's 27 elected members at around 18:00 GMT.

    World champion Lewis Hamilton could lose his position as Formula 1's road safety ambassador after he crashed his Pagani Zonda supercar into some parked vehicles in Monaco according to the Times.

    "In 2007, Hamilton was fined about £430 for speeding at 123mph through France in a souped-up Mercedes," adds Kevin Eason. , external

    "In 2010, Hamilton was fined another £300 for performing burnouts outside the gates of the Australian Grand Prix."

    Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino's Football League ban has been deferred pending the outcome of his appeal. 

    Cellino was banned last month after being found guilty of an offence under Italian tax legislation relating to the non-payment of VAT on the importation of a Land Rover vehicle.

    No date has yet been set for the appeal hearing.

    England have been warned to expect more improvement from New Zealand in the third Test in Wigan on Saturday. 

     The Kiwis bounced back from their opening 26-12 defeat in Hull to level the series with a 9-2 victory in London last Saturday and coach Stephen Kearney believes they have the momentum going into the decider. 

    "I felt we built on the back of our first Test match and I think we've got more improvement in store for us," Kearney said after the final team run at the DW Stadium.  

    The third and final Test is live on BBC One, BBC Radio 5 live and the BBC Sport website.
