More on the news that a Chinese consortium is set to invest £265m ($400m) in Manchester City.
The deal equates to a 13% stake in the club's umbrella organisation, City Football Group, which includes teams in New York, Melbourne and Yokohama - effectively valuing the business at £2bn.
The investment comes after Chinese President Xi Jinping visited City during a four-day state visit to Britain in October.
"Our belief is that we now have an unrivalled platform to grow CFG, our clubs and companies both in China and internationally, and we will be working hard with our new partners to realize the potential that this deal creates,'' City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.

There's a lot of love for Chris Jordan, whose Super Over on Monday went for just three runs, to help England complete a 3-0 T20 series whitewash over Pakistan.
"That's the first time I've been involved in a super over, in any form", said the 27 year old.
"It's something we try to work on, so we can deliver under pressure. I was able to hold my nerve."

You can watch the best of the action on the BBC Sport website as Peter Ebdon recovered from just five hours sleep to record a shock third-round UK Championship win over reigning world champion Stuart Bingham in York.
Ebdon, 45, only finished his second-round match at 01:30 GMT on Monday, but said he felt "fantastic" as won 6-3.
World number one Mark Selby survived a thrilling late night final-frame finish to beat Welshman Jamie Jones 6-5.
Tennis
Andy Murray says talking to the Lawn Tennis Association about the future of British tennis is a waste of his time.
"Nothing ever gets done and I don't like wasting my time," he said after leading GB to Davis Cup success at the weekend.
The Scot added he has not discussed the lack of young British players competing in Grand Slams with LTA chief executive Michael Downey.
"I don't speak to any of the people who are in a high-up position about that," Murray revealed. "I haven't really spoken to them about anything. It's concerning not to have any juniors in the grand slams because that is something we were always very good at. It's not ideal."

Big news coming out of Manchester City this morning with the club revealing a $400m investment from China.
I am told this should not be regarded as the start of an exit strategy from the current owners and that Sheik Mansour remains 100% committed to the club.
What it will do is open doors to a commercial market generally recognised as one of those that offers huge opportunities for growth.
It is also worth noting City are now worth approximately 10 times more than when Sheik Mansour bought it in 2008.

Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts has told BBC Radio Wales that manager Garry Monk should face up to the fact that Swansea are in a Premier League relegation battle.
The Swans are currently 15th in the table and four points above the relegation zone, although Monk believes they can escape trouble.
But Roberts said: "He needs to wake up, I think, because they're right in it, they really are. For him to say they're not in a relegation fight - they're four points from the bottom three - they're right in amongst it."
