    Left-arm paceman Reece Topley aims to use England's limited-overs series in South Africa as a means to seal a place in the squad for the World T20, which takes place in India in March.

    "It would be a massive honour to represent your country at a world cup," the 21-year-old said.

    "You never know how many times you're going to pull on an England shirt. I think that's the way to be, staying level-headed and never taking a game or a tour for granted."

    The Australian Grand Prix was brought forward to 20 March, forcing teams to re-think their production schedules.

    But Sauber will stick with their initial plan, which means they will run a modified version of their 2015 car at Barcelona from 22-25 February.

    Katie Ledecky beat her own world record to win the 800m freestyle at the Pro Swim meeting in Austin, Texas.

    The American, 18, touched home in eight minutes 6.68 seconds to smash the previous record of 8:07.39 set at the 2015 World Championships in Russia.

    "It's exciting when you can get pushed along by a crowd like this," she said.

    Michael Phelps won the 200m individual medley to notch his first win over rival Ryan Lochte in the event since the 2012 London Olympics.

    Toulon head coach Bernard Laporte expects Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny to sign a one-year extension with the French club.

    Halfpenny's current deal runs out in the summer and Cardiff Blues and Wasps have been linked with the 27-year-old.

    "He's staying at Toulon. I don't know when he will sign but it should happen," Laporte said. "He's a good lad, you need some like him in a club."

    A good lad? Surely that's not a popular saying in France?

    Juventus were "taking too many thing for granted" early in the season before winning 10 Serie A games in a row to go second, boss Massimiliano Allegri said.

    The Turin side, who are chasing their fifth consecutive title, beat Udinese 4-0 on Sunday to move within two points of leaders Napoli.

    They were 12th, 11 points off top, when they lost 2-1 to Sassuolo on 28 October - the last time they failed to win.

    "The players were not playing at the level they are now," Allegri said.
